New script – Filigrane

Filigrane - Paintshop Pro script by CasselDo you like the look of delicate jewelry made of fine gold or silver threads? You can recreate something similar with this Paintshop Pro script.

Starting with any solid shape, run the script and pick your choices: thickness of the outline, color of the outline, pattern, size and color for the fill. You can get unlimited results by changing the colors, size, or even making the outline a different color than the fill.

Add a ring if you want the shape to become a pendant, or add gemstones for an even richer look. Write someone's name with individual letters for a unique label.

Grab this script in the store: Filigrane.

Do you want a chance to win this script? Tell me, in the comment, what element you would like to create with this filigrane script. I'll be back next week with a winner, which will be announced in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Free Filigrane Arrows by CasselAs a sampler for you to have a closer look at the end result of this script, i created 3 sets of arrows. You can use those as accents on your layouts. Each set has a different fill pattern, and three colors (gold, silver and bronze).

They are PNG format, about 600 pixels each. This should allow most users (even if not using PSP) to enjoy those arrows in a graphic project.

New font – Hinges for all

cass-Hinges1b

Who is the handiest person in the family? Do you have carpentry projects you want to create layouts about? Or maybe you want to attach two frames together? Now you can do just that with this FONT. Yes, it is a font and not just vector shapes. Why? Because fonts are not program specific so any program able to handle outside fonts can use these. Also, if you use the same font size, you can combine them to create asymmetrical hinges, and they will match perfectly. Another BIG advantage of fonts is that you can use them as large as your program can handle without any loss of quality. Add the color, texture, finish of your choice to match your kit, photo or layout.

With a little tweaking, you can also add that 3D effect that is typical of the central part of the hinge, where you add a “pin” to attach both sides.

cass-Hinges1 Since you have 20 different designs, and you can mix and match them, it means you have up to 400 possible combinations. Look at these examples.

You can grab this FONT in my store: Creation Cassel.

I am sure you would want to check it and play with one of those hinges so i made one just for you. It is a PNG format so you can use it in any program and it is pretty large. This should allow you to size it down to what you need. What will you do with it? Show us!

New script – Word Edge Half Cut

cass-WordEdgeHalfCut

Although you might be able to cut out text along the edge of your photos, the script will make the whole process much faster, easier and more accurate every time. And you have so many options to choose from that you can run the script many, many times and get different result every time. You get to choose the text, the font, the edge to cut from, the alignment, and you even have the option to rotate, change size, skew, stretch the text to your liking.

You can run this script directly on your photo and the script will automatically create a duplicate so the initial photo will be left totally intact. You can also run the script on a paper to create a journaling mat, or turn this into a frame. This might be especially good if you have a photo where no edge can really be cut out from.

You can grab this script in my store: Creation Cassel .

And if you want a chance to win this script, check out this thread in the Happy Place and add your name to it, giving me suggestions on what set of words you can envision for a template pack.

cass-WordEdgeHalfCut-samples Of course, you surely will want to see the end result up close. So i made these 2 templates. Use them to trim a photo, or to journal about this year, or to frame fun photos.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

And if you use those for a project of yours, i would LOVE to see it. Who knows? It might get displayed in this blog or in my newsletter.

Although i am not using the Pay-with-a-Tweet, i would really appreciate it if you did tweet about it anyways!

I found out about this through the DST forums. I am looking forward to trying these out during the Christmas break. I do not usually like video instructions, but i must say yours are nice, clear and easy to watch. love being able to download the instructions - nothing better than having a prompt sitting next to you as you go! - Marion

New Script – Text Wrapping

cass-TextWrapping

Do you sometimes, wish you could place text within a shape and have the text automatically wrap to the next line? You know that PSP does not have that feature. So, do you find yourself having to add spaces here and there to make the text somewhat fit the shape or the space you want to use? This script will now do it for you. Use one of the multiline shaped paths included (others will be made available soon), enter your text, and run the script. You can modify the size of the shape if you want and the text will fit that size/shape. If you want to add another paragraph, just go ahead. (be sure to read the instructions before using this script for better results and no frustration!).

Available at my stores: Creation Cassel, and Do It Digi.

And if you want a chance to win this script, go add your name to the RAK thread at DST. I will draw for one winner on Monday night.

New Product – Rope tube

cass-Ropes1

This week, my new release is NOT a script, as you might expect, but it is still a PSP specific product: a set of 10 tubes. If you are not too familiar with tubes, you might have seen some in your PSP, and they look like individual pictures that you can place here and there on a layout or other montage. These tubes are more than that. Although they are made of individual images, they are made to follow wherever you draw, and create a rope along the way. You can hand draw any line, or apply this string along a path or even around a vector shape for a regular look.

You get 10 individual files, in 10 different colors. If you want to de-saturate them, you can. You can draw loops, bows, strings, doodles, etc.

You can get this set of 10 tubes in either one of my stores: Creation Cassel and Do It Digi.

And if you want a chance to win this set, go add your name to this thread at DST forum.cass-Ropes1-sample

If you are still unsure about how good these will really look, or if you are not a PSP user and would still like to use something like that, i made a simple hand drawn alphabet. You get 26 individual PNG files for the 26 basic capital letters.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

So, what do you think of this? Did you notice that it is called Braided ropes #1. Well, in the near future, other sets of tubes will be released, but i am not telling you when it will happen. You will have to follow this blog, or follow me on twitter to find out!

New script – Credit listing

cass-CreditListingBundle Do you like to have a list of all the elements and products used in a layout? Do you find it tedious to have to type that information in a txt document without forgetting any? But then, after you have played around with your layout, you don’t remember which element is still there and which one is not used or finally hidden? This script bundle will solve most of these. You will have instructions to configure your PSP so that you can copy or paste elements onto your layout with ONE keystroke each, and this will also copy the filename of the element as a layer name on your layout. Then, a third script will make a compilation of all the meaningful layer names and will save them in the Creator Information tab of the Image Information window. Now, this information will always be WITH your layout. No more lost txt file. You can refer to it anytime.

This script is available in all my stores as a bundle. One little detail though, the Copy and Paste scripts can only work on PSP9 and up, because of a particular feature that didn’t exist in PSP8. So if you have PSP8, you can purchase the Compilation script alone, instead of the bundle.

Check them all out: Creation Cassel, Do It Digi, Scrapping Whispers, Divine Digital.

Mirror Mirror – new script

cass-mirrormirrorCreate some faded mirror images from any photo, element, shape or text. Add this effect to simulate a reflection in the water, or on a polished surface. You have the option to create that reflection on top, on the bottom, on the left or the right. You can get some overlapped images, or let the script delete that overlap.

Use an image slightly rotated for a very interesting effect. The script will work on any raster, vector or background image. If your document holds several layers, only the active layer will be used.

New script – Journal Bits

cass-journalbits

Did you ever see those paper scrap pages where a long phrase is cut up in individual words? Did you ever try to do that in digi? Most of the time, it is a pretty tedious task, but no more. This script will just do that for you, and you are not limited at all. In fact, you can pretty much decide everything. Of course, you can have the text you want. Then, you choose the font you want too, and the color for the text and the color for the paper. You can have opaque paper, or translucent. If you choose translucent paper, you also decide on the opacity; maybe you want to pretend you wrote on a piece of scotch tape, which is very translucent, or on tissue paper which is more opaque. It is your call. You can then decide to have all the papers cut straight and evenly, or go crazy with irregular shape and size. But wait, that is not all. You can also ask the script to separate all the words without any paper. If you are working on a layout, the script can, if you choose so, to place all those word bits on your layout for you (no need to copy and paste dozens of bits) and it will even rename each layer according to the word on it. Neat huh? I am telling you: it probably will take you longer to decide on all those options than it will take the script to execute it.

New script sampler

cass-wordframe-roundsample

Check this neat sampler just for you. They were all made using the Round Word Frame. Each frame is 1200 x 1800 pixels to match any of your  4 x 6 pictures. Use them on the pictures, or even in the background to incorporate your journalling inside.

Although each frame is of a different color, you are allowed to colorise them to match your picture or your layout.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

And if you used them, please, show me what you do!!! I would LOVE to see it!

New script – Round Word frame

cass-wordframe-round

Did you see my first Word Frame script? It was creating a rectangular frame where you could insert text. Now, you can get a round (or elliptic) frame with the similar features: you get to choose all the options of color, line type, line thickness, location of the text. In the case of a round frame, you can also choose to have the text go clockwise or counterclockwise. This gives you the opportunity to create very interesting frames.

Remember that this script will generate the frame on a separate layer so you can use it on your picture, or without it. And you can run the script on a blank canvas too for other use. How about placing the frame off center and partially off the picture? Or how about using the frame to create a wordart?

It is available at all my stores: Creation Cassel, Do It Digi, Scrapping Whispers, Divine Digital

If you want a chance to win this script, hop over to the Happy Place at DST here and add your name to the thread. Draw will be on Monday night.
