New script – Travel Tag 1

travel tag script for PaintShop ProYou can now create a custom tag, with the colors from your palette, or even with some interesting patterns, and include details of your choice. Although these tags would typically be associated with travel (like a location, an airport code, etc.), you can use them for any occasion since you can choose any text you want.

Once the tag is done, tie it with a string to another element, or include it in a cluster.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us what occasions, other than traveling, could be used for these tags (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Travel tags in png formatFor this week, the samples I made were run through the script, but I stopped it before the final merge, which allowed me to remove some of the text. This helps create "blanks" that you can fill however you need.

New script – Doppler

Doppler effect script for PaintShop ProThe Doppler effect is that difference in sound you hear when a vehicle runs in your direction, and then away from you. It is a sort of echo of the soundwave.

This script will create that "wave" on top or on the bottom of any text you provide. You can use a solid color, a gradient or even a pattern. In the end, the main text and the "echo" will be on separate layers so you can apply different effects to it, separately.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us how you would use this effect (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Doppler effect on individual digitsAs a sample, I ran the script on individual digits starting with a black text. This will allow you to colorize the elements to match your project. To maintain the transparency on these digits while adding color, lock the transparency of the layer, fill with the material you want, and unlock the transparency.

New script – Beads Maker 3

Beads Maker script for PaintShop ProYou can now create as many beads as you want to perfectly match your project, and in a short time.

You can pick up to 10 colors and the script will combine them to create gradients that will be unique to each bead. Generate up to 25 beads per run of the script. Keep the ones you like, discard the others. Use those beads to embellish alphas, frames, tags, or string them together (just make sure you don't rotate them too much or the light spot will become inconsistent with the rest of your project).

Get this script: Beads Maker 3

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you have used the other two Beads Maker scripts (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Translucent glass beads in png formatFor a sampler, I used the color palette from the June Blog train at DigitalScrapbook.com and created 15 beads. Each bead is 200 pixels in diameter. You can collect other supplies in the Blog Train in this thread.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

New font – Two-Tone Stitch 1

Two Tone stitching fontFinally, a new font in the store. This time, it will allow you to use two colors of threads if you want, or simply showcase the layered effect of the stitches with the bevel and shadow.

Use those stitches in a straight line (like most "text") or along a path, like you would add "text on a path". You can choose any size: it won't be blurred or pixelated since it will be a vector. All the measuring is done for you so that the two layers will perfectly align.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us if you ever used a layered font before (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Stitched frame in png formatFor a sampler, I created this square frame using a couple of those stitches in light and dark blue. The frame is about 2000x2000 pixels and in PNG format.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

New script – Beads Maker 2

Beads Maker script for PaintShop ProCreating delicate beads in the color scheme that you want can be challenging.

This script allows you to choose up to 6 colors in your palette and it will combine them two by two, in a gradient, along with a random texture. Then, the designs on them will be picked, at random (among 3 possible designs) and tweaked to make each bead different.

Get it in the store: Beads Maker 2

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling whether you use beads in your projects (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Decorated BeadsI used the same color palette as for the sample of this freebie and ran the script. This means that those beads will coordinate perfectly with the other 15, and you can use them together.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

New script – Random Dots

Random dot pattern script for Paintshop ProThere are super simple ways to create regular dots in an even pattern. If you want a speed up tool to create a variety of polkadot tiles, you can use the Dots and Diamonds script. But if you want to create something that has more variety in the dots yet, still be regular, what do you do?

That is why I created this script. It will create a dotted pattern but with a completely different type of result with different options.

You can create a tile that you would use as a seamless pattern, or a full size paper where you will have no repeat at all. In addition, you have various ways to pick the colors. You can have a monochrome pattern with only lightness variations. You can have blended colors between two. You can have specific colors picked from your palette with no blending at all, or you can have totally random colors picked.

The dots can be created on a new image or take an open image and add them on a separate layer.

Use the end result as you wish, adding effects if you want.

Grab this script in the store: Random Dots script.

For a chance to win this script, tell me what you would do with those dots. Would you apply them to something? would you add a particular effect? Tell me in the comments below and i'll pick a winner next week to be announced in our newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Random Dot paper designHow about a little sample of that dot making machine? I created 2 patterns for you. One is made of primary colored dots (plus black an white) in a very regular pattern, where nothing touches the next dot. And one other in primary colors only where the dots are smaller and somewhat overlap.

Each pattern is 1000x1000 pixels (beware that one of them is not seamless ass some dots are over the edge of the image).

They are both png files so you can use them in most graphic programs. Add a background, apply an effect, use them as tiles, etc.

New in PSPX8

What is new in PSPX8This week, Corel released the latest version of Paintshop Pro, which is version X8.

It has some great new features and those will be particularly welcomed by scrapbookers, card-makers and other graphic artists using PSP for other than photo retouching.

Do you want to read more about those new features? Check out this blog post in the Campus.

New script – Word Tag

Word tag script for Paintshop ProIf you want to add a fun word tag to your project, you can use this script now. Although i am sure you can do the same manually, it is always nice to have the same result faster and more consistently, especially if you plan on having a set of similar tags.

You can use those tags to add a short phrase like "Happy Birthday" or "Get well soon", but you can also have a date "Christmas 2015" or "August 10, 2014" to commemorate a particular anniversary.

Combine this tag with other elements or effects and you can create a button, a leather tag, or a stamp.

You have the control of the text, but also the fonts and the colors so you can really match your project or your kit.

Get this script in the store: Word Tag.

How would you like a chance to get this script for free (or win another one if you already bought it)? In the comments below, tell me how you would use such tags. Would you combine them with something else to create a new element or a new effect? I'll announce a winner in next week's newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Word Tags Days freebieAs a sample, i created four tags based on common DAYS, that you can use for your projects. You probably have at least one layout for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day or Christmas Day, right?

Add those tags as a way to "date" those layouts. The tags are very large (800 pixels) but that is on purpose: it allows you to size them to what you need. Of course, if i had created them at 300 pixels, you could not have sized them up properly. Better have them too large and size them down, so you don't lose quality.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

And remember to show us how you use those tags too. We have a pinboard where you can pin any of your projects made using these freebies, or anything you purchase from the store. Here is the link:

https://www.pinterest.com/scrapbookcampus/psp-scrapbook-showcase/

You can follow this board but even better, i can give you access to you can PIN on it. Just ask and i'll give you that access.

New script – Filigrane

Filigrane - Paintshop Pro script by CasselDo you like the look of delicate jewelry made of fine gold or silver threads? You can recreate something similar with this Paintshop Pro script.

Starting with any solid shape, run the script and pick your choices: thickness of the outline, color of the outline, pattern, size and color for the fill. You can get unlimited results by changing the colors, size, or even making the outline a different color than the fill.

Add a ring if you want the shape to become a pendant, or add gemstones for an even richer look. Write someone's name with individual letters for a unique label.

Grab this script in the store: Filigrane.

Do you want a chance to win this script? Tell me, in the comment, what element you would like to create with this filigrane script. I'll be back next week with a winner, which will be announced in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Free Filigrane Arrows by CasselAs a sampler for you to have a closer look at the end result of this script, i created 3 sets of arrows. You can use those as accents on your layouts. Each set has a different fill pattern, and three colors (gold, silver and bronze).

They are PNG format, about 600 pixels each. This should allow most users (even if not using PSP) to enjoy those arrows in a graphic project.

New font – Hinges for all

cass-Hinges1b

Who is the handiest person in the family? Do you have carpentry projects you want to create layouts about? Or maybe you want to attach two frames together? Now you can do just that with this FONT. Yes, it is a font and not just vector shapes. Why? Because fonts are not program specific so any program able to handle outside fonts can use these. Also, if you use the same font size, you can combine them to create asymmetrical hinges, and they will match perfectly. Another BIG advantage of fonts is that you can use them as large as your program can handle without any loss of quality. Add the color, texture, finish of your choice to match your kit, photo or layout.

With a little tweaking, you can also add that 3D effect that is typical of the central part of the hinge, where you add a “pin” to attach both sides.

cass-Hinges1 Since you have 20 different designs, and you can mix and match them, it means you have up to 400 possible combinations. Look at these examples.

You can grab this FONT in my store: Creation Cassel.

cass-Hinge1-sample

I am sure you would want to check it and play with one of those hinges so i made one just for you. It is a PNG format so you can use it in any program and it is pretty large. This should allow you to size it down to what you need. What will you do with it? Show us!

New script – Word Edge Half Cut

cass-WordEdgeHalfCut

Although you might be able to cut out text along the edge of your photos, the script will make the whole process much faster, easier and more accurate every time. And you have so many options to choose from that you can run the script many, many times and get different result every time. You get to choose the text, the font, the edge to cut from, the alignment, and you even have the option to rotate, change size, skew, stretch the text to your liking.

You can run this script directly on your photo and the script will automatically create a duplicate so the initial photo will be left totally intact. You can also run the script on a paper to create a journaling mat, or turn this into a frame. This might be especially good if you have a photo where no edge can really be cut out from.

You can grab this script in my store: Creation Cassel .

And if you want a chance to win this script, check out this thread in the Happy Place and add your name to it, giving me suggestions on what set of words you can envision for a template pack.

cass-WordEdgeHalfCut-samples Of course, you surely will want to see the end result up close. So i made these 2 templates. Use them to trim a photo, or to journal about this year, or to frame fun photos.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

And if you use those for a project of yours, i would LOVE to see it. Who knows? It might get displayed in this blog or in my newsletter.

Although i am not using the Pay-with-a-Tweet, i would really appreciate it if you did tweet about it anyways!
