New script – Bow #24

Yes, this is another bow script, but honestly, who can have too many different bows in their stash? This script will generate a bow that will be kind of droopy.

It will use a 200-pixel ribbon. The end result will be grouped (so you can resize it if you want) and unmerged (so you can tweak it if you need to).

For a sample, I created three bows that would be suitable for Valentine Day's projects. I used various straight ribbons and colorized them to get that traditional red color for the occasion. Each bow is in PNG format.

New script – Bow #23

If you want some variety in your supplies but still want something to match what you currently have, this is another script to create a bow from a straight ribbon.

If your ribbon is thicker than 175 pixels, the script will resize it to create the bow, however, if your ribbon is between 100 and 175 pixels, it will just create a smaller bow.

All the layers are left unmerged so you can tweak them as needed or insert something in the knot.

For a sample, I used some ribbon templates from Marisa Lerin and colored them with some autumn colors. The freebie includes the three bows but also the matching straight ribbon I created for them so you can even use them with other scripts to create other types of bows and knots.

New script – Bow #22

This script will create a double bow out of a single thin ribbon. Although you can have the same ribbon for all the loops, you can also colorize the inside loops and tails to give the impression of using different ribbons.

Even more, you can let the script group the layers for the inside bow, and then copy and paste the whole group into another bow made with the same script, and you would end up with completely different ribbons in your bow.

For a sample, I used two ribbons from Janet Kemp (you can get them HERE) and colorized them three times. I then combined the inside loops from the solid-colored bows and inserted them into the floral bows.

New script – Streaks

Streaking colors script for PaintShop ProWith graphic programs, we can manipulate images in ways that the camera itself cannot do. With this script, you can add streaks from your image, to convey a sense of movement, speed, or displacement. Then, you can also manipulate those streaks to give some wave effects, to show elements through, to fade its colors, etc. So many ways this can be manipulated.

You can apply this effect to any photo, in any of the four basic directions, and you can also have the ends of the streaks reach the edge of the image or not, for different effects.

Stitched ribbons in png formatFor a sample, of course, I cannot use my photos as they would likely be useless to you. So I decided to create some stitched ribbons for you using the Two-Tone Stitches from last week. I started with a basic greyscale ribbon, added the stitches on both edges, added texture, bevel, and shadows, and then, with the warp brush, I modified the stitching line so it would follow the uneven edges of the ribbon, for a more "realistic" look.

New script – Bow #20

Bow script for PaintShop ProA simple bow might be all you need for your project, but how do you find the correct one? Using a ready-made bow and colorizing it might work but might also be a lot of work.

This script will use any straight ribbon and cut random pieces from it to create the bow. This means that even using the same starting ribbon, you will have different results.

In the center, you can let the script use the ribbon for the knot or choose a solid color for a contrasting effect.

Bows in png formatFor a sample, I created three straight polkadot ribbons with holiday colors and ran the script to generate three matching bows. The straight ribbons are also included in the zip file so you can use them separately.

New script – Bow #19

Bow script for PaintShop ProUsing bows and knots can be quite versatile as long as you have variety. This is the 19th type of bow in the store (and we have knots too) so using your own straight ribbon, you will have the option to create some matching bows. The script uses a random location on the ribbon so if you run the script multiple times on a patterned ribbon, you will get different results.

If you don't have a straight ribbon to use, the script can generate one for you with your choice of color, gradient or pattern.

Little bows in colors in PNG formatAs a sampler, I created six little bows using ribbons from Janet Kemp. I layered a grosgrain ribbon with lace and flattened both. Then, I ran the script. I then ran the script on the grosgrain ribbon alone (without the lace), and since the layers were not merged, I copied and pasted the knot part only to replace the one on the "lacy" bow. It is a little more work but it shows how versatile this script can be with unmerged layers.

New script – Bow #18

Script for PaintShop Pro to create triple bowBows come in so many shapes and sizes. In your stash, you will never have too many bows! This is another one in our series of bows that you can create for your own projects.

The script will use the open image if you have a straight ribbon available, but if not, it will create a new organza ribbon in the color (or gradient) of your choice before creating the bow. You can then keep that ribbon to use in other projects or for other scripts.

Easter color triple bows in png formatFor a sample, I created three organza ribbons and three bows with them. I also combined the individual loops from each bow, to make a three-color bow. That is something you can also do with the bows generated from this script since all the layers are left unmerged so you can replace or move them.

New script – Ribbon Factory C

Ribbon factory script for PaintShop ProIt is always fun to have a variety of ribbons to accompany our project but using ready-made ones, might not always match. Adjusting the color is possible but it is tedious. And if you are talking about multicolored ribbons, then it is a full-blown headache.

This script is the third in the Ribbon Factory series. It will create multicolored ribbons using at least 3 colors from your palette and will generate some of the 6 different patterns. Create up to 20 ribbons in one single run of the script. Keep the ones you like, discard the others.

Multicolored ribbons in png formatFor a sample, I am sharing 14 of the ribbons generated using the color palette in the preview. They are nice spring-like colors, so you now will have access to another set of matching ribbons.

New script – Wrapped Ribbon 1

Wrapped Ribbon script for PaintShop ProYou might want to wrap your own ribbon around your own frame or picture, but how do you do that? This is when you need this script. It will use any straight ribbon you want (opaque, patterned, lace, directional) and the script will arrange the pieces in a way that will look like it is wrapping around something.

Once the script is done, all the layers are left unmerged but grouped so you can tweak them but also copy and paste the whole arrangement to your project and trim the edges to fit your frame or photo.

Wrapped Ribbon laceAs a sampler, I am offering you this lace ribbon. I didn't include the shadows so you can add your own, as needed. The whole arrangement is a little bit wider than 2600 pixels so you can resize it to what you need and trim the edges if necessary.

New script – Ribbon Flower

Ribbon flower script for PaintShop ProThere are multiple flowers made of ribbon that you can get online. Most of them are likely real ribbon flowers that were photographed and extracted. However, sometimes, you might want to have a flower that perfectly matches a ribbon you already have. How can you get such a flower?

This script will use your own straight ribbons and will turn them into a ribbon flower. You can use a single ribbon for all the petals, but you also have the option to use multiple ribbons to make different rows of petals.
