New script – Little Bow

Little bows script for PaintShop ProWho can say they have too many bows in their stash? Nobody! And these tiny bows are delicate and can be incorporated into just any project, cluster, or even on a photo itself.

You can generate little bows from any ribbon, but also from any paper, which makes this script very versatile: use it to create bows to go with your next kit or to create bows for your project using a paper you just created.

Sample of little bows in png formatAs a sample, I generated a ton of little bows from papers from an old kit I had (Splashes of Sunshine from Bernadette Hunt). I liked the colors on the 4 papers. Since they were full size, I resized them to 2000x2000 to keep some of the brushes imprint visible on some of the bows. I generated many more but kept a dozen for you among those that had some interesting patterns to them.

New script – Points

Zigzag making script for PaintShop ProCreating random shapes for one's project might be easy but the randomness, sometimes, is not as random as one would want simply because we tend to do things in similar ways over and over again. That is why this script can become a time saver as it will REALLY create random shapes for zigzags on separate layers and then, you pick and choose which ones you want to use and discard the rest. Easy!

You can then use those shapes as templates, for clusters, borders, frames, masks, etc.

As a sampler, I used one of those shapes and overlayed it on a white layer. Once they were merged, I added a gaussian blur and now, that shape can be used as a mask.

New script – Gradients Library

Gradients Library script for PaintShop ProIf you want to view your gradients, looking at the little thumbnails in the Materials Palette is not the best way. But if you want, you can now make a larger image that you can even print, to display all the gradients in a specific folder. Make sure you read the instructions because you will have to edit your script before running it.

Popsicle puzzle As a sample, with summer coming, with the warmer weather, I thought you might like a set of fresh popsicles. This is made from the Wooden Puzzle 2 script, and all the pieces are grouped together, allowing you to move the whole set onto your next project. Once that is done, you can ungroup the pieces and move them around, individually.

New script – Slanted Slats

Slanted Slats script for PaintShop ProYou can create slats at an angle, but it is tedious to measure all those pieces one by one.

With this script, you can complete the process in just a few seconds, and have options to set the number of slats, their angle, the gap between them, but also, you can have each piece on individual layers, have them all on a single layer, or even have them converted into a mask.

Lots of options offered with a single script.

Slanted Slats template for PaintShop ProSince this script allows you to create a mask out of the settings you chose, I did just that. I started with a large, 3000x3000 black image, and created a layered mask file. You just have to add your photo and that's it. If you find that the mask is way too large, resize it before adding the photo. You can even resize it without keeping the proportions if your photo is rectangular and you don't want it square.

This script allows you to create a unique cake, in any shape, in any color, with infinite layering combinations.

In the end, the layers can be merged or left unmerged for you to tweak your baking even more.

Rainbow Layered Cake in PNG formatI baked all day to give you this delicious multi-layered rainbow cake, complete with colorful icing.

Once I created the cake with the various layers and icing, I created one last layer of icing that I moved on the top. I added some shading and to make the icing between the layers a bit irregular, I ran the Warp Brush along the edges, which gives a more realistic look. Then, adding a small shadow gives the impression of that icing oozing out of the layers.

New script – Slats

Slats script for PaintShop ProUsing slats on a photo is a unique way to showcase it, but it can be tedious to create manually. Furthermore, if you want to showcase a particular area of the photo without cutting it off, you can no longer use a ready-made template as it might not suit your specific image or size or preference.

This script will create slats but you will start by setting the "untouched" area and the slats will be added left/right or up/down that main selection. And you get more options for the creation of those slats. Finally, the script will also add a set of frames that you can keep or not, or customize with a different color, with additional effects, etc.

Get this in the store: Slats.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you have ever used slats before (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) Slat template for PaintShop ProFor a sampler, I created this template for you. It will help you showcase an element that would be off center. You can mirror it too, if your element is on the right.

You can change the color of the frame, add a bevel or other textures. You can add shadowing if needed.

For the background, you can simply use a solid color from your image or a pattern that matches. Or you can duplicate your photo and move that duplicate to the "background" layer and play with the opacity, the color, etc. for another unique display.

New tubes – Seed Beads 3

Seed Beads picture tubes for PaintShop ProSeed beads are fun elements that can be used to add some pizzazz to a project, but adding them one by one is quite tedious if you want to have a lot of them. And if you are looking for "ready-made" sprays, they might not match the color you want, the size you want or the shape you want. But using these picture tubes, you simply have to drag your cursor where you want the beads and they will just appear.

And if you want a continuous string of beads, you can also do that by using the directional version of one of those 6 colors.

Get them in the store: Seed Beads 3

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you would more likely use the random tubes or the directional ones (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) Mom Mum charms in gold and silverSince it is Mother's Day (in North America) this coming Sunday, I created these two gold and silver charms for a special mother in your life. I created in two different spellings to accommodate different ways people call that special woman. The charms are about 1500 pixels, so they can be sized down as needed to fit your project.

New tubes – Crochet Lace Tubes 4

Crochet Lace Edge picture tubes for PaintShop ProThese crochet lace tubes will allow you to create edges of any length you want, and even add some wave to it (not too much as it would distort the design). Once you have your straight (or almost straight) lace, you can turn it into a frame, or just add it to a cluster along with other decorative elements.

If you want some tips on how to colorize those grey laces, check out this tutorial.

Crochet lace frames in PNG formatAs a sample, I created two frames using two of the tubes included in the set. One frame is square, about 2000x2000 pixels and the other is rectangular, at 2000x1600 pixels. They are in PNG format, and you don't have to import them anywhere into your PaintShop Pro; just open it on your workspace and add it on your project. Easy!?
