New tubes – Crochet Lace Edge 1

Crochet Lace Edge picture tubes for Paintshop ProDo you like lace edging? Can you find some that suits your project? Something that is the right color, the right length?

These are tubes so you can drag your cursor anywhere and create a crochet lace as long as you want.

You can certainly use them as is, like a piece of lace to add to a cluster, or you can actually edge a paper, or make frames. You can even thread some ribbons through them for an even more customized look.

Have fun with those.

Get them in the store: Crochet Lace Edge 1

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us what you might use those tubes for (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Crochet Lace frames in png formatAs a sample, this week, I created a long strip of lace and turned it into two frames using the Mitered Corner Frame script. In order to make nice corners, i trimmed the strip exactly between "loops" then measured the length of a loop in order to set a size, in the script, that would use complete loops. I think it turned out great.

These frames are left in greyscale so you can colorize them to match your own project.

I hope you will show me what you do with them!

New tubes – Skyline

Skyline picture tubes for Paintshop ProThese are picture tubes. Each set has 26 different "building" silhouette, and there are 3 sets: one for residential buildings, one for commercial buildings and one for industrial buildings (so you have a total of 78 buildings!)

Since they are picture tubes, you can simply drag your cursor along whatever path you want to place your buildings, and that's it. Adjust the scale if you want larger/smaller buildings.

All the windows are empty but you can easily fill them up by painting behind.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us what is the tube set you are most likely to use first (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Skyline border in png formatIn order to get a closer look at these tubes, I created 3 "borders", one with each tube set.

Change the brightness to turn them to grey, colorize (or paint) them. If you want more than one row, duplicate one and flip it around; it will look like a different set completely.  Layer them as you wish.

Each border is 3600 pixels long so you can use them on a full-size project.

Now, with a script, you can turn any shape into a solid piece of chocolate. If you want to be fancier, you can use a black and white design and get an embossed chocolate piece.

And to add to the joy of the taste buds, you can add a decorative drizzle of chocolate of any color.

New script – Beads Art

Beaded element script for Paintshop ProIt can be fun to convert a simple clipart into a beaded element to add to a themed layout. You can do that with this script which will convert ANY image into a set of beads, all fused together.

Although you can use a full image or a photo, you will get more drastic results with brightly colored clipart or designs. Also, make sure you don't have fine lines like thin legs, antenna, hair, stems, etc. because they will just disappear. If necessary, remove those fine elements and just add them afterward, to the beaded result.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us what clipart would you like to turn into a beaded element (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Critters made of beadsFor a little taste of summer (at least for the Northern Hemisphere), I made these 4 adorable critters in beads art for you. Each of them is about 1000 pixels in size so you can easily size them down to suit your layout.

New tubes – Chicken Wire

Chicken wire tubes for Paintshop Pro If you want to create a rustic design, either as a background or an element, chicken wires might give you just that look.

You can use ready-made chicken wire pictures or vector designs, but here is a great tube that you can shape however you want, with just a draw of your cursor. Make it straight or not so straight, depending on what you want.

You get 12 different "colors" of wires with this set, so you can be even more creative than with regular ordinary wire.

Get this set in the store: Chicken Wire tubes.

In order to win this set of tubes, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us of one creative way you can think to use chicken wires in a digital project (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Chicken wire frameAs a sampler, i created this frame (using the Wooden Frame script) and added some wires behind it. I thought that you could possibly add some clothespins and attach various photos or objects, but you could also have a photo placed behind, or even cut the wires and make it even more "rustic".

It is a png format so it could be used in various graphic programs.

You can replicate that uneven look of puffy paint in various colors or thickness, with this script.

Every run of the script will give you a different look because of the random feature coded in the script.

cass-puffypaint-digitsAs a sampler of what you can get with this script, I created a set of digits in "white". You can easily fill them in with the color of your choice for a different look.

Since it is white, you can also consider them as icing digits. And why not fill them with our own Sprinkles?

Each digit is about 400 pixels high in PNG format.

A complete set will be available in the newsletter, so keep an eye on it, this coming Sunday.

With these strings, you can draw the string as long as you want, in any shape you want to suit your project or your element.

Create frames, decorate windows, or even wrap your relative in one of those.

Choose between bells, candy canes or stars in various Christmas colors. What will you do?

cass-christmasstring-windowThis week, for a sampler, I used several products from the store to create a decorated wooden window. I used the Wooden Window script, the Christmas lights and the Christmas strings.

Both the window AND the decoration are on separate files so you can use them separately or together.

Christmas Lights – PSP Tubes

Christmas light picture tubes for Paintshop ProHow about adding some Christmas lights to your project?

But with these tubes, you can "draw" a light string any way you want.

You get a total of 12 sets to play with and combine if you want.

Get them in the store: Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights FrameAs a sampler, I created several oval frames using 5 monochrome sets and one multicolored set.

All the sets are drawn along the exact same path so you can overlap some frames to combine 2 or 3 colors that you might prefer.

All the frames are in PNG format.

New script – Custom Kit Labels

cass-customkitlabelsIf you are creating kits, you will want to use this script to create a variety of labels in just a few seconds. Keep the ones that you like, and discard the others.

If you are just using a ready made kit, you can create a few labels based on the papers of your project. Pick the one or two that you prefer and you will get a perfect match.

You can choose any paper, any size, any shape, and have any color in the center. The script will create a variety of labels with random combinations of the different options you will have picked.

You can get this script in the store: Custom Kit Labels

What would be your favorite shape for labels? would you prefer to have circles, squares, rectangles, ellipses or something else? Tell me in the comments below for a chance to win this script. cass-customkitlabels-autumnAs a sampler, I ran the script using 5 papers from the kit Enchanted Autumn from Marisa Lerin. This set includes 15 different labels, ranging in size between 600 and 1000 pixels. Some are round, some are oval, some are square and some are rectangular.

New script – Strip Cluster Maker

Strip cluster maker script for Paintshop ProMaking clusters can be a great way to expand a kit you want to sell, or a way to use a kit you just purchased.

Making clusters can be a tedious task however. This script will help you as it will serve as a starting point, in gathering a certain number of long elements (like ribbons, tapes, stitching) and other elements (like flowers, buttons, tags, knots, etc.).

You can generate as many strip clusters as you want, from the elements in a single folder. You can create horizontal strips or vertical ones. Did you know that it is not a good idea to rotate a strip cluster that is already made? The shadows will be showing in the wrong angle, and any light source indication will also be inaccurate, giving an odd looking result in the end. So this script will NOT rotate any element (except the long elements) but will place them in  a vertical arrangement, if that is what you want.

You can also choose to have few elements on the cluster or a fuller arrangement.

Since the script cannot "see" the result, it will not know if it looks good or not. That is YOUR task. But the script will have given you a starting point, from which you can rearrange the elements, add new ones, remove some.

A time saving tool for you: Strip Cluster Maker.

Do you like strip clusters? Did you get the Cluster Template maker #3? Tell me how you use (or would use) strip clusters in your projects. Add your answer in the comments below. I will pick a winner and announce it in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Strip ClusterThis week, with Heather T's permission, i am giving you the exact strip cluster that I made using this script.

It is 3600x700 pixels in size, in PNG format. It also includes all the shadows for realism (including the lifted thread on the left).
