New picture tubes – Gold Chains #2

Gold chains picture tubes for PaintShop Pro I released the first set of gold chain picture tubes over 10 years ago and they were VERY popular especially since those were totally new among the PSP tools. Today, I created another series of gold chains picture tubes. Those are mostly double-links chains.

You can "draw" with them with your cursor however long you want them and in any free-form shapes. If you want to add them precisely along a specific path, you can use the VectorTube script, available in the store too.

As a sampler, I created a vector shape with wavy edges and ran the VectorTube script to place the gold chains neatly along that edge. For the double frame, I used the same method to create two "matching" shapes and then used the interlacing technique to give the frame that twisted appearance.

New script – Paper Pinwheel

Creating a pinwheel out of paper might sound simple using a template, but would NOT respect the correct orientation when the paper is flipped.

To help you, this script will do all the cutting, flipping and rotating needed to create a pinwheel with YOUR choice of papers. You will get 6 options for the edges, and 4 options for paper combinations. And since you can pick your own papers to create the pinwheels, the possibilities are endless.

New picture tubes – Vines 2

Time flies and in the fall, those vines will often change color. These picture tubes are made from vines that have already turned to a pink or orange color due to the season.

You get tall vines that you can use to cover a whole section, but you can also use the individual pieces to create your own vines, in the shape you want (if you want to follow a different path).

As a sampler, I created a large frame, covered it with chicken wire (from the Chicken Wire tubes) and added some vines, and some clothespins to hold some photos. These photos are showing as a mask group so you won't have to do any cutout of your photo to place it in the frame.

New script – Admission Tickets 2

You can now create your own admission ticket (or other types of tickets) with this script. You get various options to incorporate into the making of it, including colors, text, fonts, texture and design.

You can create a single ticket or a series of up to six (just like you get at the carnival). Customize the tickets with various designs in the small boxes or leave them empty and you can punch holes in them (like for each visit, each coffee, etc.)

New script – Fabric Patch

Now, you can turn any vector shape into one of 8 fabric textures. The script will use the color you started with and will blend in the texture. You can create titles with it, frames, mats, cluster elements, etc.

The script will add stitching around the edge (you decide how close to the edge you want it and its color), and you can also have a frayed edge along the whole border. The stitching and the frayed edge will be left unmerged at the end, so you can tweak them, or remove them, or even use them separately somewhere else.

New tubes – Netting C

To create a nautical project, using netting is a common element. Recently, we had some netting picture tubes that you could use to embellish your project. This time around, the netting is variegated, giving the whole project a different look.

You get 10 different colors of picture tubes and they are seamless so if you need a net that is taller than 700 pixels, simply duplicate your layer and move it to align it up or down.

As a sampler, I created a wood frame (using a script) and added three layers of netting. I distorted them irregularly, and deleted what was extending outside of the frame. I then added some seashells from the 2019 picture tubes.

New script – Travel Tag 1

You can now create a custom tag, with the colors from your palette, or even with some interesting patterns, and include details of your choice. Although these tags would typically be associated with travel (like a location, an airport code, etc.), you can use them for any occasion since you can choose any text you want.

Once the tag is done, tie it with a string to another element, or include it in a cluster.

For this week, the samples I made were run through the script, but I stopped it before the final merge, which allowed me to remove some of the text. This helps create "blanks" that you can fill however you need.

New script – Doppler

The Doppler effect is that difference in sound you hear when a vehicle runs in your direction, and then away from you. It is a sort of echo of the soundwave.

This script will create that "wave" on top or on the bottom of any text you provide. You can use a solid color, a gradient or even a pattern. In the end, the main text and the "echo" will be on separate layers so you can apply different effects to it, separately.

As a sample, I ran the script on individual digits starting with a black text. This will allow you to colorize the elements to match your project. To maintain the transparency on these digits while adding color, lock the transparency of the layer, fill with the material you want, and unlock the transparency.

New script – Ice Cream

What is more refreshing than a delicious ice cream treat during those hot summer months?

This script will convert any shape into a calorie-free ice cream treat. You can choose any flavor (even if they don't exist). You can add ripples in a different flavor. Then, you choose what coating you want, what texture it will be. You can even have it melting a bit if it is really hot. Then, if you want to be fancier, you can add sprinkles or crushed nuts on top. Hum...

New script – Beads Maker 3

You can now create as many beads as you want to perfectly match your project, and in a short time.

You can pick up to 10 colors and the script will combine them to create gradients that will be unique to each bead. Generate up to 25 beads per run of the script. Keep the ones you like, discard the others. Use those beads to embellish alphas, frames, tags, or string them together (just make sure you don't rotate them too much or the light spot will become inconsistent with the rest of your project).
