New script – Paper Flower

cass-PaperFlowerIf you were to create your own flower, out of papers from a kit, how would you do it? You might choose to cut out one petal and simply duplicate it multiple times and rotate them around the center. But you know what? This looks "amateurish" because a real flower made of paper would NOT have 100% identical petals, would it? You would see some variations in the texture, the shading or the pattern.

This script will give you a much more realistic look because each petal will be cut from a different location on the paper, as if you were to cut out from a real paper with scissors.

You can choose any paper you have, whether it is a solid, a patterned, or a gradient paper. Any texture would work and it would even give that slight variation on each petal.

You can choose to have 1, 2, 3 or 4 rows of petals, using the same paper or different papers, or a combination of papers. Each petal will have a slight shadow to give some depth but still allow you to add other shadows to create a lifted effect if you want as each of them is also left on a separate layer.

Add any center you want, from one of the paper, or from another element like a button, a gem, etc.

Grab this script in the store: Paper Flower.

If you want to get this script for free (or another one if you already bought it), tell me how many rows you would prefer to have when creating a flower. Add your answer to the comments below and i'll draw for a winner that will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. cass-PaperFlower-Sample-PinkAs a sample, i created a fun pink flower for you.

As a paper, i simply opened a blank image and flood filled it with a pink felt tile i had (from the Felt presets #1). I used that "paper" for the first row of petals.

For the second row, i chose the option of NOT using the same paper, so i duplicated the paper i had, tweaked it to get a brighter color and ran the script as if it were a new paper.

Once the second row of petal was done, i added a shadow to each petal, every time, on a separate layer then, tweaked it to create a lifted effect, on the smaller petals.

Finally, to make the row look better, i selected one part of the top petal and using the Interlacing technique, moved that half petal under the bottom one (i bet you can't see that cut, can you?)

For the center, i created a pink gem using the Gemstone script.

New script – Alpha-Beads #3

Alpha-beads script for Paintshop ProYou now have another option to create beads with the letters, colors and font of your choice with this script.

You get individual beads that are about 300 pixels wide, and you have the option of having letters, digits, punctuation marks, and since you can use any character with any font, you even have the possibility to use accented characters that you can't find anywhere else.

You also have the option to add a drawing or a design: use a vector shape, or a hand drawn design if you prefer. And of course, you can also create a blank bead.

There is even an option for an additional metallic ring around the bead for another look.

Get this script in the store: Alpha-Beads 3

What type of beads would you like to create, that maybe you have had a hard time finding already made? Share your comments below. I'll pick out a winner and will announce it in the newsletter next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

cass-AlphaBeads3-Yellow-DigitsHow about a little bit of sunshine with these yellow beads with digits? You can use them to display a date or an anniversary number.

They are plain, without any metallic ring around them so you can still customize them to suit your taste or your project.

What will you "date" with them?

New script – Datestamp #2

Datestamp script for Paintshop ProDatestamps have been used for years in a way to indicate a particular date on a document, most often an envelope, but in graphic design and scrapbooking, these have become much more than just a way to add a date.

This script will allow you to create a custom datestamp that will really fit your need and your current project. You can choose any text you want, whether it is a date, a location, a name or a phrase. You can choose any font you want, as long as it is accessible by your PSP. You can choose any color, gradient or pattern and you can even add a texture if you want something original. Then, in the center, you can add another short text element, like a year, a name or another word and still use yet a different font.

Just like the old datestamps that had long lines to cover a certain number of postage stamps that would have been on the envelope, you also have the option to add those lines, either straight or wavy, on either side or on both. That makes this script extremely versatile and you can make so many different looking elements!

Grab this script in the store: Datestamp #2

With all the options available, what would you use this script for? What would you write on it? Post a comment below and i will pick a winner next week and will announce it in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

cass-Datestamp2-MonthsHow about a little sample. Of course, i can't put the name of your sister, or the location of your last vacation in a sampler but i can give you a standard date datestamp. If you want to add a fun label to your layout to indicate when the particular event took place, you can use these stamps. They are in greyscale so you can change the color to your liking to match your project.

Each stamp is 500 pixels high so it is easy to size them down if needed too.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

Although those stamps do not have the lines on the side, it would be super easy for you to add them yourself using the Brush tool (or the Pen tool if you prefer to work with vectors). Will you show us what you make with those? How do you use them in your layout?

New script – Glitter Gel

Glitter Gel script for Paintshop ProIf you ever did some paper crafting, you have seen those puffy paints or glue or gel. Some will just be translucent or opaque, some will have glitters or not.

This script will turn any line drawing you can make into a gel paint, with or without glitters. You can choose the amount of glitters, and the color. You can use a line drawing or a solid shape, in which case the script will just use the outline.

This is perfect to add a handmade look to a project with a color that will match everything.

If you prefer something more regular, use a preset shape and you can use the outline only too.

Get this script in the store: Glitter Gel.

You can get this script for free (or a coupon for a future new release if you already bought it) by adding a comment below. Tell me what you would use such glitter gel on a project. I'll pick a winner and i will announce it in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Glitter Gel samples with Summer themeSince spring is finally getting here now (believe it or not, we got another 4 inches of snow on April 26th!), i decided to hand draw a few spring themed elements for you.

Each element was hand drawn. For the flower and the umbrella, i ran the script on the two parts separately. To make the color a bit brighter, i simply selected outside the gel part with the Magic wand, inverted the selection, contracted the selection by 1 pixels, and flood filled with a solid color on a new layer that was placed below.

For the umbrella, i used almost the same steps, except that i selected the whole area of the umbrella instead of just the gel part.

New script – Word Tag

Word tag script for Paintshop ProIf you want to add a fun word tag to your project, you can use this script now. Although i am sure you can do the same manually, it is always nice to have the same result faster and more consistently, especially if you plan on having a set of similar tags.

You can use those tags to add a short phrase like "Happy Birthday" or "Get well soon", but you can also have a date "Christmas 2015" or "August 10, 2014" to commemorate a particular anniversary.

Combine this tag with other elements or effects and you can create a button, a leather tag, or a stamp.

You have the control of the text, but also the fonts and the colors so you can really match your project or your kit.

Get this script in the store: Word Tag.

How would you like a chance to get this script for free (or win another one if you already bought it)? In the comments below, tell me how you would use such tags. Would you combine them with something else to create a new element or a new effect? I'll announce a winner in next week's newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Word Tags Days freebieAs a sample, i created four tags based on common DAYS, that you can use for your projects. You probably have at least one layout for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day or Christmas Day, right?

Add those tags as a way to "date" those layouts. The tags are very large (800 pixels) but that is on purpose: it allows you to size them to what you need. Of course, if i had created them at 300 pixels, you could not have sized them up properly. Better have them too large and size them down, so you don't lose quality.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

And remember to show us how you use those tags too. We have a pinboard where you can pin any of your projects made using these freebies, or anything you purchase from the store. Here is the link:

https://www.pinterest.com/scrapbookcampus/psp-scrapbook-showcase/

You can follow this board but even better, i can give you access to you can PIN on it. Just ask and i'll give you that access.

New script – Lifted Photo

Lifted Photo script for Paintshop ProYou might already know about the curved photo script that is available in the store, however, that was only for one type of curved effect. This current script has many more options.

You can curve horizontally, vertically or diagonally. You can also curve only one corner if you prefer.

The shadow is always added to be consistent with the lift and the light source being traditionally on the top left. The shadow is left on a separate layer, in case you want to tweak it, or create a different one for your own needs.

Not only can you lift a photo, but you can also curve an element too; just imagine you have a paper flower or a sticker to lift. This will be the perfect tool to achieve that result.

You also have the option to add a frame to your photo if you want: it could be a regular even frame or a Polaroid type one.

In addition, the script will add some shading to the image to fit the curve given.

Get this script in the store: Lifted Photo script.

Not only you can lift photos and images, but have a look at lifted alpha elements. Isn't that cool too?

LiftedAlphaElements

How would you like to get a copy of this script? In the comments below, tell me which type of lift you would most likely use (horizontal, vertical, diagonal or corner lift) and i will pick a winner next week that will be announced in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Lifted Photo FramesFor this week's sample, since i could really not give you a lifted image, i figured you might find a use for some lifted frames. Although i know that adding a lifted frame to a flat image MIGHT not be a perfect match, it will still give you a good idea of the effect you can expect from the script.

Hopefully, using these frames, the images themselves won't need to be curved too much so they won't seem too much like a mismatch, which would happen if you have a very curved frame and a very flat image!

You get three different frames, lifted in different ways. The files are in .psd format, with the shadows on separate layers so you can tweak them as needed.

New script – Fastener Factory

Fastener Factory script for Paintshop ProAre you tired of always using and reusing the same fasteners in your kits or your layouts? You might have dozens of eyelets, brads and other fasteners but it might be hard to change the color or the texture and make them always unique.

This script will do that work for you. With 6 types of fasteners, and 4 choices of metal, you already have a base of 24 choices. But that is not all: you can also choose any other color or pattern you want for those fasteners (even polkadots if you want!)

In addition, the script is coded with a random function that will generate a slightly different element each time, varying the size, the rotation, the texture and the bevel.

This is now perfect to add a special touch to those otherwise boring fasteners to complete and match your kits or your layout.

Get this script in the store: Fastener Factory.

For a chance to win this script, tell me what texture would be your favorite to create fasteners. I'll pick a winner that will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Eyelet FrameAs a sample, i thought of creating something a little original. I generated 20 eyelets using the gold pattern, and placed them randomly along a frame that was created using a twisted rope tube. Then, using the interlacing technique, i overlapped the rope on the edge of each individual eyelet.

Yes, that was a lot of work, but i think it gives an interesting effect, don't you think? It kind of looks like an eyelet necklace!

New font – Lace Edge #6

Lace Edge fontSometimes, you want to add some edges around a shape or on the edge of a ribbon but you are tired of using the same templates over and over again, and not having the flexibility to create the shape you want.

This product is a FONT, meaning that it will behave like text, but display as decorative edges. You can use it on any graphic program that allows outside fonts.

You can also have the font follow a path if your program allows it. This means that you can create decorative edges on a circle, an oval, a square, a rectangle or any other shape you want, if your program can add "text on path".

Unlike brushes, you have the option to combine different "characters", and alternate them. You can also change the size, the color, the kerning, the offset, etc. And since it is a vector, you can use it as big as your program allows, and you won't have any pixellated edges.

This font includes 25 different shapes that are delicate and "open" and 25 matching shapes with more "opaque" look. You can combine and alternate both if you want for a fun look. The font also includes 10 "fillers" that are smaller shapes you can insert between larger shapes, or use them on their own.

Grab this font in the store: Lace Edge #6

If you want more lace edges, you can also have the Lace Edge #2, which also has large designs, or the Lace Edge #3 and Lace Edge #4 that have smaller designs.

Would you like to win this font? In the comments below, tell me what element you would like to create with it. I'll pick up a winner and announce it next week, in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Lace Edge frame and matTo help you get a feel of what these edges can look like, i created a frame and matching mat using one character of the font along a vector path. Very simple.

Use them as is, in white, or colorize them to match your project. Each one is about 2000x2000 pixels in size.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

Remember to show us what you do with those elements. We surely want to see.

New script – Loop #2

Ribbon loop 2 script for Paintshop ProAre you often looking for the perfect loop but you can only find templates that you have to colorize in one color? or a script that only lets you choose a color, gradient or pattern, but does not give a very realistic effect, especially with patterns?

This script will help you get what you want because you can use your own straight ribbon and the script will cut a piece to be curved into a loop.

You can use a texture ribbon, a translucent ribbon, a patterned ribbon, a directional ribbon, etc.

You can also add an eyelet if you want, to attach the pieces. The end result will be left unmerged in case you want to do some tweaking or to insert elements between the layers.

Get this script in the store: Loop #2

If you want another type of loop, check out the Loop #1 script.

Do you want a chance to win this script (even if you already bought it?). Tell me what type of ribbon you would like to use in such a loop. Add your suggestion in the comments below and i'll pick a winner that will be announced in the newsletter next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Ribbon Loops 2 - samplesDo you want a sample of basic ribbons you can use? Here is a set of 6 basic colors for ribbons. Use them as accents, or even to tie some tags with.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.

So what will you be doing with those ribbons?

New script – Filigrane

Filigrane - Paintshop Pro script by CasselDo you like the look of delicate jewelry made of fine gold or silver threads? You can recreate something similar with this Paintshop Pro script.

Starting with any solid shape, run the script and pick your choices: thickness of the outline, color of the outline, pattern, size and color for the fill. You can get unlimited results by changing the colors, size, or even making the outline a different color than the fill.

Add a ring if you want the shape to become a pendant, or add gemstones for an even richer look. Write someone's name with individual letters for a unique label.

Grab this script in the store: Filigrane.

Do you want a chance to win this script? Tell me, in the comment, what element you would like to create with this filigrane script. I'll be back next week with a winner, which will be announced in the newsletter. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Free Filigrane Arrows by CasselAs a sampler for you to have a closer look at the end result of this script, i created 3 sets of arrows. You can use those as accents on your layouts. Each set has a different fill pattern, and three colors (gold, silver and bronze).

They are PNG format, about 600 pixels each. This should allow most users (even if not using PSP) to enjoy those arrows in a graphic project.

You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.
