A brick pattern can be a interesting way to combine various papers from a kit or a stash, but it is quite tedious to copy and paste all those bricks, and even more when you want them aligned perfectly.
This script will do all that for you. You can combine as many papers as you want, whether they are solid, textured or patterned. The script will cut out rectangles randomly on it, so it will not be just a boring repetition of the same segment all over your paper.
You can choose how wide each brick will be, and how you want the script to arrange them: alternating color/pattern one brick at a time, alternating color/pattern one row at a time or randomly selected color/pattern.
Once done, you can add another paper in the background, or fill with a solid color. Add some noise to give a grout look if you want. The bricks can then have an inner bevel or a shadow. And if you are so inclined, you can also colorize some of the bricks.
