How can you create a plaid pattern that is a perfect match with a photo? Do you pick colors with the color picker, then draw the plaid? That is the long, tedious and really time wasting method.
This script will take any image of yours, and pick sections from it to generate tiles from them. Every pattern will be different as it is randomly generated based on the picture. You can ask for anywhere between 3 and 10 tiles. Some tiles might not be too good if they are generated from a solid color area of the photo. Yes, that can happen. Just keep your favorite one, and discard the others.
Use the tiles as a pattern, either straight or at a 45 degree angle for a really fun result. Obviously, all the tiles are seamless so you can use them on any size project.
Run the script several times, and you never get the same tile twice. You will be amazed at the patterns that are generated! Have fun!!!
If you want to create plaids based on a color palette instead, use the Plaid 2 script.
Compatible with Paintshop Pro 8 and up.
