Get a jumpstart to your inspiration with this script which will create a base cluster template for you. Starting with any image or photo or a simple placeholder in the center of your page, this script will add various layers of rectangles with random size, shape, number and orientation. Almost everything is generated at random within a few constraints. Once in a while, you will see a wavy line added to the layers for just a little variety.
Since the script does not know what looks good or not, it can only generate a base which you will have to adjust to your liking. You can add more rectangles (or other shapes), delete layers, rotate the whole arrangement, cut out edges to some rectangles, rearrange the order of the layers, etc. Remember that YOU are the artist and the designer and the script is only a helper.
You can run the script more than once starting with the same image to end up with many layers from which you can choose, or use them all.
