Getting Started with PSP

It's Free!

When you first start your Paintshop Pro, you might be a little lost. This is a set of 3 guidebooks that will help you get started and feel more comfortable with this new program.

Installation

When you get your first copy of Paintshop Pro, the installation process is fairly simple and straightforward, but this guide will walk you through the different steps and the different options you might encounter.

Customization

Depending on how you will be using Paintshop Pro, you might have some preferences, whether it is about the starting workspace, the background color or the way the images are tabbed or not. This guide will show you which palettes you can hide to make more room to work, and how to set some personal preferences for a better experience when working with PSP.

Toolbars and menus

A complex program like Paintshop Pro offers a multitude of tools and commands that are arranged in toolbars and menus. This will guide you through each of them, so you get a general idea of where the common tools and commands that you will need, are found.

Of course, there is a lot more to Paintshop Pro than can be collected in those three guidebooks, but it is a good start. These guidebooks were created based on a series of video tutorials at the Scrapbook Campus using the installation of PSPX7. If you are using a different version, some screenshots might slightly differ but you will still be able to recognize each component.
