Do you want to double check all your products (or your designers' products) before putting them up in the store? These scripts will help you achieve that.
The Quality Check Utility script will:
- check for extra white space around any PNG element; if there is, the script will trim it AND resave the file. It will also notify you how much needed trimming (was it 2 pixels, or 200 pixels)
- check that the resolution of all the PNG and JPG elements are at least 300 dpi; if it is less than that, it will resize it to the correct resolution. It will also let you know what was the initial resolution.
- let you know if there is a GIF file in the set; if you are a store owner and are concerned about the overall overuse of larger files, like GIF, you have the choice of removing it or not. The script will only let you know and wont touch it.
- generate a QualityCheck.txt file for you with a report of each file checked, if there was something to correct, or if the file was OK, and if there was one or more GIF files to check yourself. This report can be used by you to document your feedback to the designers.
This script can be used on one single image open in PSP, or use in batch process to check the whole contect of a kit folder in just a few seconds.
In just a few seconds, the Stray Pixels Catcher script will eliminate single stray pixels. In a second step, it will indicate which areas still have some groups of pixels that might or might not belong there. Since YOU choose the contrasting color to use, those will be much easier to see. Once you have deleted those extra pixels, run the script a second time to remove the colored indicator. This can be a perfect tool for scrappers and designers. And if you do some quality checking, this tool will save you a lot of time and improve the quality of the products.
