If you want to create some paper designs, you can draw them by hand or use layered templates. If you do them manually, it is long and tedious and you might end up lacking ideas. If you use ready-made templates, you will lack variety after a while.
This script will randomly create various line designs in seamless tiles. The designs are going to be black lines with no background so you can use them over any color. You can colorize the lines as you wish or color between the lines for a totally different look. You can even add some elements as you will also get some guides placed at strategic locations on the tile.
You can generate up to 20 seamless tiles in one run of the script. Keep the ones you like and discard the others. Keep them in layered format so you can still modify them later if you want.
