New Tubes – Heart Chains

Heart Chains Picture tubes for Paintshop ProDid you get some pictures of your last Valentine Day with your valentine?

You will love to add these colored chains to your projects featuring a loved one. Each tube is directional so it will be placing individual links in the correct angle to follow the path of your cursor movement.

You can create frames, loose chains, bracelets, necklaces and more.

Heart shape frame made with Heart chainFor a sample, I created a heart shape frame using a preset shape, and ran the VectorTube script to place the little hearts all along the shape. With a little shadow added, you have a fun frame. The shadow is only added to the chain, so you can add your own shadow to the whole frame if you want.

The frame is in png format and is 2000x2000 pixels so it is large enough for most photos.

New script – Threaded Ribbon 2

Threaded Ribbon script for Paintshop ProThreading your favorite ribbon manually around a frame is very tedious and hard to do precisely, but this script will allow you to do it using any straight ribbon you already have.

With various options, you can create frames with a new look every time. Choose the number of eyelets, choose the color of the eyelets. You can even cut out the center of the frame if you want a unique element. The end result is quite large so you can always resize it as needed.

Threaded Ribbon frameFor a sampler, I simply am offering one layered template made with the lace ribbon in the preview. Everything is left on unmerged layers so you can use the template and modify it as you want. You can punch a whole in the center, or clip some fancy papers on it, or replace it by your favorite photo, like in the preview.

The element is in .pspimage format (so can only be used with PSP).

New script – Bow #12

Bow script for Paintshop ProYou can never have too many bows to embellish your projects. And since you can now create them from your own ribbons, you will have a perfectly matching element to attach to the ribbons.

Tie this bow to a flower, a string, a frame, anything. Since the script ends with unmerged layers, you can easily insert elements inside the knot.

What will you do with it?

Ribbons and bows in png formatFor a sampler, I created 3 basic ribbons with a Valentine Day theme and ran the script. So you will get 3 straight ribbons (that you can run other scripts on) and 3 matching bows.

New Tubes – Crochet Lace Edge 3

Crochet Lace edge picture tubes for Paintshop ProThe Crochet Lace edges have been so popular in the past that I am back again with another set. These are extracted photos that needed to be edited to make them really seamless.

This time, however, not only you get tubes to be placed in a straight line, but you also will have 2 individual tubes that are directional, so you can place them around a circular shape, or along a curved path.

Crochet lace frames for freeAs a sample, I wanted to show you how the two directional lace tubes can be used to create circular elements.

I used both tubes to create a simple frame that you can combine with other elements like beads, sequins, papers, etc.

New tubes – Twine rope

Twine rope picture tubes for Paintshop ProYou might want some rough twine rope to tie some elements or to create a loose bunch of ropes, but you can't seem to find the right one, of the right color, or the right length or the right shape? These picture tubes allow you to draw your twine as long as you want, in any shape you want and with 10 different colors (and you can also colorize them).

What will you do with them? Adjust the size to get thicker or thinner twine, for all sorts of projects.

Twine embellished wood frame in png formatAs a sampler, I embellished a wood frame with the yellow twine tube, to match an old bouquet of flowers. The frame is in png format and about 2000 pixels wide. You just have to slide a photo on a layer under the frame and erase whatever exceeds on the outside. The frame already has the shadows included so you don't have to add anything!

New tubes – Icicle Light Strings

These are picture tubes that you can use to "draw" the strings wherever you want, and however long you want them.

Holiday swag in PNG formatAs a sample, I create another swag for the Holidays, made exclusively of tubes from PSP or from the store. You might recognize the light strings from last year (none of the light is burnt!).

The whole decoration is about 2000 pixels wide. Why not add that to your next holiday card?

New brushes – Holiday Punches

Holiday Brushes for Paintshop ProLast week, I released some new corner punches and they were a hit! But not only that, I got some inspiration from Sue, who suggested some more punches for Christmas next year. But I didn't wait until next year! I started working on those immediately.

Not only this set includes corner punches, but also edges so that you can cut out along the edge of your paper. And even more, I included the basic shapes so you can punch anywhere else. Do you realize that you can't easily punch a snowflake in the middle of a paper if you are a traditional paper scrapper? But with these, you can punch ANYWHERE!

The whole set includes 50 different punches! You'll have enough to embellish your cards, tags and many other elements.

Holiday frame in PNG formatAs a sample, I created a fun frame for you using one of the corner brushes. Since the brush was not making an exact circle, I added some parts to make it into a real circle. Then, using the locked transparency, I painted all the elements separately. It is not hard, but a bit tedious. Then, I simply added some colored edges inside the frame. The whole frame is about 3200 pixels wide so you can size it down as needed.

You get a colored frame and the template if you want to make more with different colors.

New Brushes – Corner Punches D

Corner punches for digital scrapbooking with Paintshop ProIn traditional paper scrapbooking, there are tools that allow the user to punch the corners into intricate shapes. They are great if you want to use the same size for all the projects you do. In digital scrapbooking (or card making), you now can use similar "punches" simply by using the eraser tool and those fancy "corner punches" shapes. This is the fourth set of those brushes.

Although they are meant to be used with the Eraser tool to cut out the shapes, you can also use them with the Brush tool to add a design instead of cutting it out, adding more versatility to these tools.

Frame from the Corner PunchesAs a sample, this week, I created this fun frame (and matching template so you can use it with other colors/papers/effects).

I started with a square image filled with black. I punched the four corners but slightly inside of the edge to leave that "frame" corner. Then, I duplicated that layer and rotated it by 45 degrees, which gave the 8 "corners". Since the two layers overlapped some of the holes of the other layer, I erased the area on each layer that was covering the holes of the other one. Once merged, I cut out the circle shape in the center to make the template. After that, it was just a matter of playing with the color and bevelling.

You can do the same with different punches.

New script – Duotone Photos

Duotone script for Paintshop ProIt might be simple to create a black and white photo with Paintshop Pro, and it is also easy to colorize that photo with one color, but how about using TWO colors? So, instead of light red and dark red, you would want yellow and red, or blue and purple, or blue and brown, or whatever color combinations you want to make a unique image?

This script allows you to choose ANY two colors and will transform any photo into a creative image. Choose colors to match a background or another image, or just make a collage with different variations.

Holiday Wooden Frame in PNG formatAs a freebie, this week, I obviously could not give you a sample of the script since it is applicable only on your photos, so I thought you might want to showcase some photos in a holiday frame so I created one wooden frame using the Wood Frame script, and added some embellishments (branches, poinsetta, pine cones, ornaments and present). I also used the Christmas light tubes to finish off the decoration.
