New script – Christmas Ornaments 3

Christmas Ornaments script for PaintShop ProThis is the third in a series of Christmas ornaments that you can run to generate elements that will be perfectly matching your project, your photos, or your color palette.

This script will generate up to 20 ornaments in an oblong shape. The patterns on the elements are different from the previous scripts in the series.

Each ornament will be about 1000 pixels high. The top of the ornament will use one of the colors you have selected for the designs, so it will always match.

New script – Christmas Stocking

This script will create a custom stocking made of strips of papers. Choose those papers from a color palette, or actual full-size scrapbook papers.

You will get the choice for the color of the heel and toes and the fur on top of the stocking.

It is also big enough to fit a few goodies inside (or behind). Angle it a bit to make it hang by the corner.

New script – Personalized Christmas Ball

Personalized Christmas Ball script for PaintShop ProIf you want to add your own photo, design or text to a Christmas ornament, it could look pretty flat as it would not have the expected curved distortion of a real ornament. This script, however, will do that for you, on any photo, design or text of your choice.

You can also choose any color for the background, a different opacity and a color for the top attachment.

New script – Scallop Pattern 2

cass-ScallopPattern2 You thought that the Scallop Pattern script from last week was a great tool to speed up the process of creating a scallop pattern that used the same "tile" over and over again.

This time, imagine trying to create a scallop pattern but using different colors for the tiles or for the individual rows. This is an even more tedious tasks, since you have more work to do. Now, imagine using using a different color for each individual tile. This is just about impossible to do manually.

Thanks to this new script, Scallop Pattern 2, you have many more options available to you to create totally unique papers.

You can have the tiles alternating in colors, on a single row or alternating by rows. But even more, you can use a gradient and the script will pick the colors from the gradient, and create the tile just at that place, with that color. Now THAT is original!

cass-ScallopPattern2-TreeFor a little sample, i have this fun Christmas tree paper made out of scallops. In fact, i have to admit that i cheated a bit but i'll show you how to do it.

  • open an image 3600x3600
  • draw a green triangle with a brown rectangle at the base; flatten it
  • run the script and choose the Gradient option
  • when you are asked to choose the gradient, use the Pattern tab instead and pick the tree image you drew; it will appear as one of the patterns, as long as it is open on your workspace
  • the script will use it as if it were a gradient!

Yup, that means that you can use any picture with this script, not only gradients! It might not always yield a fantastic result, but you can surely try and experiment!

Holiday Sample – Wreath

cass-HolidayWreath-preview

Following the two articles on tubes, i thought it would be appropriate to show you how tubes CAN be used to create an item. So i made this holiday wreath for you.

The green part is actually made from my green garland tubes simply drawn by hand. I  made little branches, and overlapped them. That garland tube is one multiple image tube.

Then, i used Bernadette Hunt’s Bubble blobs to decorate. Those are multiple images so clicking here and there would place randomly chosen balls.

I used the gold chain tubes to add… the decorative chain. It is a directional tube which gives this appearance of being a continuous chain.

And to add more festive look, i added a bow made using the Bow #3 script that created a large organza ribbon and tied it into a fluffy bow.

It is yours to enjoy, but for personal use only.
