New script – Layered Flowers 2

Layered Flowers script for Paintshop ProDid you have a peek at the Layered Flowers script from last week? You could create a set of layered circles, but this week, you can create a set of layered papers cut into various shapes with points. Although you can decide how many points each shape will have, the script will randomly create those shapes to give you a unique result every time.

Just like the previous script, you can choose any papers of your stash, the number of layers, the number of "flowers" and whether you want the script to add a drop shadow.

Perfect to create a fun accent to match your kit or your project. Add a button, a gem, a brad or a staple in the center to hold all those layers.

Layered flowers in autumn colorsFor a sample of this script, I used papers from the bundle Enchanting Autumn from Marisa Lerin. It includes a variety of "flowers" using different settings of the script: number of layers, number of points and regularity vs irregularities.

You get 10 flowers that you can use as is, or with the kit that you can get too.

New script – Layered Flowers

Layered paper flower script for Paintshop ProIf you had some traditional papers, you might want to cut out some circles and layer them to create a "flower" in the color of your kit or project. Doing that is tedious with paper, but also very tedious with digital ones.

With this script, it only takes you a few seconds to generate up to 10 different flowers from a series of papers of your choice. This is the perfect way to add an element that is a perfect match to your project. Add a staple, a button or any other decorative element in the center to "fasten" your flower to your project.

Layered Papers element in png formatFor a sampler, I ran the script with a few papers from a kit, Happy Birthday, from Marisa Lerin. You can get the whole kit for free, HERE.

Each flower is about 400 pixels wide and has 4 or 5 layers.

Since I used mostly basic color papers, these flowers can be quite versatile and usable in many projects.

New script – Scallop Pattern 3

Scallop Pattern script for Paintshop ProScallops can be a fun design but other than getting a simple template that is a single color, you are limited in the options available. This script will allow you to create a variety of scallop outline patterns that will be either seamless or a full sheet of the size of your choice. Using that outline, you can add a background of any color, or even using a gradient.

This will give you many additional options to create custom designs for your projects or your kits.

New script – Burnt Edge

Burnt Edge script for Paintshop ProDo you need the look of burnt edges around a particular element but other than doing it yourself, it seems really hard to find the right shape, or the right font or the right size for your own element?

Yes, you can do it yourself but if you are in a hurry, the script can do it for you in just a few seconds. It can work on any shape (it does not have to be a vector), any size (although you get better results with elements < 2000 pixels), any color. And furthermore, you can run the script on the same element/shape multiple times and get different results for every run. A truly random result!

Burnt Edge paper pieces for digital scrapbookingAs a sample, this week, I created a few paper pieces that were run through the script. I created those shapes simply with the freehand selection tool to give them a random shape right from the start. Of course, the script would burn the edges but I wanted something a little different.

You can use those pieces for journaling or to draw something (like maybe a treasure map?).

This script will allow you to create that, and even more, you can use it with a cutting machine to embellish your paper craft projects.

Cutout labels in png format with the seasonsAs a sample of what can be done with this script, I created 4 labels with the seasons for you to use. They are 600 pixels in height so you can size them down if needed. If you have a cutting machine, you can also use it to embellish your paper projects.

As they are in greyscale, you can colorize them any color you want, or using the Transparency lock, you can replace the grey by a gradient or pattern too.

Flowery mask for Paintshop ProAs a sampler, I am giving you the mask created for the preview. It is square and has some delicate flower designs on the edges, both inside and outside of the basic shape. This should allow you to showcase your photo with little interference from the cutouts.

The basic mask is 2000x2000 pixels but remember that it will adjust to your photo, whatever size it is.

New Tubes – Crochet Lace Tubes 2

This is the second set of tubes to create crochet lace edges on any element you create. This set includes 5 more picture tubes that you can use simply while drawing with your cursor.

What will you make? Frames? Edges? Clusters?

They are in greyscale so you can colorize them in a color that will match your project. No more having to search for that perfect lace; you can create it.

Crochet Lace frame in PNG formatAs a sampler, this week, I created an oval lace frame using one of the tubes in this set. It is left in greyscale so you can colorise it as you wish. You can use it to frame a picture but also a quote or a particular element you might have scanned and extracted, like a memorabilia.

New script – Cutout

Cutout script for Paintshop ProWith this script, you can pretend that you cut out the top layer of your project to show something underneath, while in fact, you cheated and what you see underneath is actually on top.

This allows you to move your "cutout" piece anywhere on your project, or on a separate project if you want to. Save it for future use too and the effect will be applied wherever you place the shape.

The edges will look like the paper is slightly curled up, so make sure you place it on a layer that looks like paper (curled up wood would not look too realistic!)

Stencil cut out digits in png formatTo show how these cutout shapes can be portable, I used a stencil font to create a set of white digits. They are png format so you can use them anywhere, on any project and give the impression that your paper is cut, and curled up to show these numbers. You will obviously get better results if you don't use a very dark paper!

New tubes – Crochet Lace Edge 1

Crochet Lace Edge picture tubes for Paintshop ProDo you like lace edging? Can you find some that suits your project? Something that is the right color, the right length?

These are tubes so you can drag your cursor anywhere and create a crochet lace as long as you want.

You can certainly use them as is, like a piece of lace to add to a cluster, or you can actually edge a paper, or make frames. You can even thread some ribbons through them for an even more customized look.

Have fun with those.

Crochet Lace frames in png formatAs a sample, this week, I created a long strip of lace and turned it into two frames using the Mitered Corner Frame script. In order to make nice corners, i trimmed the strip exactly between "loops" then measured the length of a loop in order to set a size, in the script, that would use complete loops. I think it turned out great.

These frames are left in greyscale so you can colorize them to match your own project.

I hope you will show me what you do with them!

New tubes – Skyline

Skyline picture tubes for Paintshop ProThese are picture tubes. Each set has 26 different "building" silhouette, and there are 3 sets: one for residential buildings, one for commercial buildings and one for industrial buildings (so you have a total of 78 buildings!)

Since they are picture tubes, you can simply drag your cursor along whatever path you want to place your buildings, and that's it. Adjust the scale if you want larger/smaller buildings.

All the windows are empty but you can easily fill them up by painting behind.

Skyline border in png formatIn order to get a closer look at these tubes, I created 3 "borders", one with each tube set.

Change the brightness to turn them to grey, colorize (or paint) them. If you want more than one row, duplicate one and flip it around; it will look like a different set completely.  Layer them as you wish.

Each border is 3600 pixels long so you can use them on a full-size project.
