New script – Bow #17

Bow script for PaintShop Pro A variety of ribbons and bows is always a plus for everyone doing scrapbooking. Some bows are large, others are small. Some are stiff, others are droopy. Variety is always needed.

This script will take your ribbon and adjust its size to create a matching ribbon. If the ribbon is thicker than 200 pixels, the script will size it down to 200 pixels before creating the bow. However, if the ribbon is thinner than 200 pixels, the script will temporarily size it and then will resize the bow to match that initial ribbon size. The end result will be on unmerged layers so you can tweak it as needed.

As a sampler, I started with two ribbons in fall colors and ran the script. One ribbon is 200 pixels and the other is 125 pixels so the two bows are of different sizes.

New script – Sparkling

Some photos don't convey all the energy that you know happened when they were taken, so how can you remedy that lack of effect? Add some sparkles.

This script will add sparkles along any path you draw, in any color and in any number. You can add sparkles to emphasize movement, objects, people, etc.

New script – Fire Work

Some photos can use a lot of punch and adding fire is a sure way to add that spectacular effect. Add those flames to an energetic musician, to a hot car, a fast running cheetah. Or you can just draw frames and words manually to get a firey message in the sky.

This script will add random flames to any vector path you will add to your photo. You even have the option to have small, average or large flames depending on the effect you are after.

As a free sample, I created a firey frame using a simple heart preset shape. I ran the script choosing the option for small flames. If I had selected the larger ones, there would be a smaller area left for the photo.

New script – Cracked Paint

Cracked paint can be used on many drawings, paintings, or writings to give a worn look. You can surely use an overlay, but it is also nice to get a different result.

This script will do just that as it will randomly modify a handful of base patterns to create a worn look of cracked and peeled paint. Just have your photo or drawing active and the script will age a copy of it, leaving your original intact.

New script – Punched Alpha

You can create some unique titles and tags using uneven pieces of papers with a cut out letter or digit.

This script will do that for you and will even add some randomness to the whole run. You can choose to cut from any paper you want (or even multiple papers too), you can choose any text, alpha-numerical elements or even dingbats. In fact, you can also ask to generate some "blank" pieces with no cutout so you can use them as "spaces" or to punch or stamp something on your own.

For a free sample, this week, I used one of the newspapers that was used to create the freebie in the Campus (you can get matching pieces HERE). I created a whole alphabet and added the 10 digits plus a hyphen.

New tubes – Balloon Twists #2

A few weeks ago, we had some balloon twists made up of color + white. This week, we have sets of monochrome color arrangements, ranging from white to the darker color.

You can create long hanging decorations, arches or draw them in the shape of digits or letters to spell out a word or a date. How cool is that?

New script – Pop Art

Have you ever tried to create a montage of pop art images inspired by Andy Warhol? It uses bold colors and simplistic lines and offers multiple variations on the same colors.

Now, you can do the same with your own photos and your own choice of colors, whether they are bright like the typical Andy Warhol style or more muted to suit your own style and preferences.

As a freebie, obviously, there was no way to give you a sample that would suit your own project, so I figured that everyone was quite enthusiastic about the balloon twists frame from a couple of weeks ago so I created another one, in different shape and using a different color. Those balloons would be quite suitable for summer theme projects.

New script – Sprayed Alpha

You can create a sprayed effect on individual letters very quickly.

Using colors, gradients, or patterns in order or randomly, you can generate a complete alpha in just a few seconds. Have the materials used in order or randomly for a fun result.

With this time for back to school in many areas, I created this set of digital using primary colors, in order. Use them to add a year, an anniversary or even to make a border for a back-to-school theme project.

New script – Ribbon Dragonflies

Little bugs and critters can be a fun addition to a project, especially when they are cute and made of ribbons and beads.

This script will use one or two straight ribbons of your choice and create the wings of those adorable dragonflies. You can also choose one or two colors for the body, so the end result will be a perfect match for your project, no matter the color palette you use.

New tubes – Balloon Twist #1

Balloon twists are often used as decorations in different festive events, whether it is a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary, graduation, a welcome back event, etc. We can see them as tall columns, but also as arches or like hanging banners.

These tubes can be used to place those twists in any shape you want, for as long as you want. Use the VectorTube script to place it neatly along a vector path.

As a sample, I used the Red/White balloons and placed them along the path of a heart using the VectorTube script. You can use this heart to frame a photo or a poem. Remember to add some faint shadows!
