New script – Bread #1

Script to make bread with Paintshop ProHave you ever seen, in bakeries, bread in various shapes? Now you can create a loaf in any shape you want, using this script. You can create a simple white bread, a whole wheat bread or a rye bread.

You can add some flour on top and even garnish with sesame seeds or multigrain.

It could become a fun way to write a date or a word for a baking related project. Doesn't that sound delicious?

Bread digits in PNG formatAs a sample, I created a variety of bread in the shape of simple digits. I know, you can't eat them, nor can you even smell them, but I am sure they smell wonderful!

Each digit is about 1000 pixels high, and is different from the others.

New script – Bow #13

Bow script for Paintshop ProBows, bows, and more bows. This definitely not the first bow script, and it likely won't be the last either. Various projects seem to require a different type of bow. Sometimes you want it super simple, sometimes you want it flat, sometimes you want it loopy, and sometimes, you want it with multiple loops. This is what the newest script offers you.

Starting with a straight ribbon, the script will create a bow with 8 loops (yeah, that took a while to code!) and will even add a little brad in the center based on the colors of your starting ribbon. Keep it or replace it with something more appropriate for your project or the theme. Use this bow as is or as the base for a cluster.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us if you prefer simple bows with only two loops, or bows with multiple loops (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) Sample bow in .pspimage formatFor a sample, I created a simple lace ribbon and ran it through the script. I then converted both the ribbon and the bow into a greyscale which gives you a fairly white result. Since they are monochrome, you can always colorize them to match your project, or keep it as is and just add a colored center.

The bow is in .pspimage format, with the bow and the center on separate layers. The ribbon is also included so you can use it on other projects.

New script – Custom Kit Ribbons

Custom kit ribbons script for Paintshop ProWhenever you are creating a kit or a layout, you might want to include or use some matching ribbons. Unfortunately, not all kits have them. If you are creating your own kits, then you will want to add such matching ribbons, but in the end, you tend to use the same type of ribbons, while you would prefer some variety.

You can use the Ribbon Factory script to create ribbons based on the color palette, but if you want to match some patterns used in the papers, you will need this script.

You can generate up to 50 ribbons per run, and although you pick the thickness of the ribbons and the papers to use as a base, the rest will be randomly decided by the script, so you will get a bunch of different ribbons. Keep the ones you like, discard the others.

Ribbons in png formatAs a sample, I am including 12 of the many ribbons that were generated in making the preview for the script. Using 6 papers from a kit from Janet Scott. You can find that paper kit HERE.

Each ribbon is 3600 pixels long and obviously match those papers.

New Tubes – Heart Chains

Heart Chains Picture tubes for Paintshop ProDid you get some pictures of your last Valentine Day with your valentine?

You will love to add these colored chains to your projects featuring a loved one. Each tube is directional so it will be placing individual links in the correct angle to follow the path of your cursor movement.

You can create frames, loose chains, bracelets, necklaces and more.

Heart shape frame made with Heart chainFor a sample, I created a heart shape frame using a preset shape, and ran the VectorTube script to place the little hearts all along the shape. With a little shadow added, you have a fun frame. The shadow is only added to the chain, so you can add your own shadow to the whole frame if you want.

The frame is in png format and is 2000x2000 pixels so it is large enough for most photos.

New script – Threaded Ribbon 2

Threaded Ribbon script for Paintshop ProThreading your favorite ribbon manually around a frame is very tedious and hard to do precisely, but this script will allow you to do it using any straight ribbon you already have.

With various options, you can create frames with a new look every time. Choose the number of eyelets, choose the color of the eyelets. You can even cut out the center of the frame if you want a unique element. The end result is quite large so you can always resize it as needed.

Threaded Ribbon frameFor a sampler, I simply am offering one layered template made with the lace ribbon in the preview. Everything is left on unmerged layers so you can use the template and modify it as you want. You can punch a whole in the center, or clip some fancy papers on it, or replace it by your favorite photo, like in the preview.

The element is in .pspimage format (so can only be used with PSP).

New script – Bow #12

Bow script for Paintshop ProYou can never have too many bows to embellish your projects. And since you can now create them from your own ribbons, you will have a perfectly matching element to attach to the ribbons.

Tie this bow to a flower, a string, a frame, anything. Since the script ends with unmerged layers, you can easily insert elements inside the knot.

What will you do with it?

New Tubes – Crochet Lace Edge 3

Crochet Lace edge picture tubes for Paintshop ProThe Crochet Lace edges have been so popular in the past that I am back again with another set. These are extracted photos that needed to be edited to make them really seamless.

This time, however, not only you get tubes to be placed in a straight line, but you also will have 2 individual tubes that are directional, so you can place them around a circular shape, or along a curved path.

Crochet lace frames for freeAs a sample, I wanted to show you how the two directional lace tubes can be used to create circular elements.

I used both tubes to create a simple frame that you can combine with other elements like beads, sequins, papers, etc.

New tubes – Icicle Light Strings

These are picture tubes that you can use to "draw" the strings wherever you want, and however long you want them.

You get a total of 32 strings!

Holiday swag in PNG formatAs a sample, I create another swag for the Holidays, made exclusively of tubes from PSP or from the store. You might recognize the light strings from last year (none of the light is burnt!).

The whole decoration is about 2000 pixels wide. Why not add that to your next holiday card?

New Brushes – Corner Punches D

Corner punches for digital scrapbooking with Paintshop ProIn traditional paper scrapbooking, there are tools that allow the user to punch the corners into intricate shapes. They are great if you want to use the same size for all the projects you do. In digital scrapbooking (or card making), you now can use similar "punches" simply by using the eraser tool and those fancy "corner punches" shapes. This is the fourth set of those brushes.

Although they are meant to be used with the Eraser tool to cut out the shapes, you can also use them with the Brush tool to add a design instead of cutting it out, adding more versatility to these tools.

Frame from the Corner PunchesAs a sample, this week, I created this fun frame (and matching template so you can use it with other colors/papers/effects).

I started with a square image filled with black. I punched the four corners but slightly inside of the edge to leave that "frame" corner. Then, I duplicated that layer and rotated it by 45 degrees, which gave the 8 "corners". Since the two layers overlapped some of the holes of the other layer, I erased the area on each layer that was covering the holes of the other one. Once merged, I cut out the circle shape in the center to make the template. After that, it was just a matter of playing with the color and bevelling.

You can do the same with different punches.
