Ribbon bow in png formatWith celebrations coming up in July, I created a translucent blue, white and red ribbon and ran the script to generate the bow. This one is in png format, and the zip file will also include the straight ribbon.

New script – Bow #15

Bow 15 script for PaintShop ProDo you like droopy bows? They can be a fun change from the standard "straight" bows that we see all over, but how do you get something that will match your project?

This script will use your own thin ribbon and will create your bow with two droopy loops and long ends.

New script – Little Bow

Little bows script for PaintShop ProWho can say they have too many bows in their stash? Nobody! And these tiny bows are delicate and can be incorporated into just any project, cluster, or even on a photo itself.

You can generate little bows from any ribbon, but also from any paper, which makes this script very versatile: use it to create bows to go with your next kit or to create bows for your project using a paper you just created.

Sample of little bows in png formatAs a sample, I generated a ton of little bows from papers from an old kit I had (Splashes of Sunshine from Bernadette Hunt). I liked the colors on the 4 papers. Since they were full size, I resized them to 2000x2000 to keep some of the brushes imprint visible on some of the bows. I generated many more but kept a dozen for you among those that had some interesting patterns to them.

New script – Bow #14

Bow script for PaintShop ProWho can say they have too many bows and ribbons? Not a scrapbooker! This script will let you tie a straight ribbon into a multi-loop bow, attached with a centerpiece. Each piece is left unmerged so you can tweak them separately if needed.

The script will also add a default drop shadow on the loops but all the shadows will also be left on separate layers so you can tweak them, adjust them or even replace them altogether.

Ribbon bows in png formatFor a sampler, this week, I used a starting ribbon from Janet Scott at Pixel Scrapper and modified it slightly (to make it straighter) and ran the script for the basic bow. Then, playing with the Hue map to change the colors from the base ribbon, I created 3 additional versions to run the script again. That will give you those 4 bows to use.

New script – Bow #13

Bow script for Paintshop ProBows, bows, and more bows. This definitely not the first bow script, and it likely won't be the last either. Various projects seem to require a different type of bow. Sometimes you want it super simple, sometimes you want it flat, sometimes you want it loopy, and sometimes, you want it with multiple loops. This is what the newest script offers you.

Starting with a straight ribbon, the script will create a bow with 8 loops (yeah, that took a while to code!) and will even add a little brad in the center based on the colors of your starting ribbon. Keep it or replace it with something more appropriate for your project or the theme. Use this bow as is or as the base for a cluster.

Sample bow in .pspimage formatFor a sample, I created a simple lace ribbon and ran it through the script. I then converted both the ribbon and the bow into a greyscale which gives you a fairly white result. Since they are monochrome, you can always colorize them to match your project, or keep it as is and just add a colored center.

The bow is in .pspimage format, with the bow and the center on separate layers. The ribbon is also included so you can use it on other projects.

New script – Bow #12

Bow script for Paintshop ProYou can never have too many bows to embellish your projects. And since you can now create them from your own ribbons, you will have a perfectly matching element to attach to the ribbons.

Tie this bow to a flower, a string, a frame, anything. Since the script ends with unmerged layers, you can easily insert elements inside the knot.

What will you do with it?

Ribbons and bows in png formatFor a sampler, I created 3 basic ribbons with a Valentine Day theme and ran the script. So you will get 3 straight ribbons (that you can run other scripts on) and 3 matching bows.

New script – Bow #11

Bow made from straight ribbon - script for Paintshop ProWho can say they have enough bows in their digital stash? Nobody!

When looking for bows to use in your projects, are you stuck with the same design, with the same polkadots or the same stripes? And then, having other ribbon elements that are just not matching?

This script will take any straight ribbon and tie it in a simple bow. You can use any kind of ribbon, opaque or translucent, plain or patterned, striped or polkadot, etc.

And for a unique touch, the loose ends will be randomly cut so you won't get two identical bows, even if you start with the same ribbon.

cass-Bow11-samplesThis coming weekend, it will be July 1st (Canada Day) and July 4th (Independance Day) so i created two basic ribbons with the blue white and red colors and one with red and white. Then, i ran the script for each one. I also used the Knot#7 script to create the additional knot.

Furthermore, i am including the basic ribbons too, so you can use them as is, or with other scripts to create more knots and bows.

New script – Bow #9

cass-Bow9Do you want to have a bow from your favorite ribbon but that ribbon is only straight? You can do it manually, but it is long and tedious.

This script will work in any version of Paintshop Pro, and will turn any straight ribbon into a layered bow that you can then use in any project, whether it is digital scrapbooking, card-making, or others.

The end result is a layered bow so you can tweak the layers or insert a decorative element in the knot if you want.

And it will not damage the original straight ribbon either so you can still use both in your project.

You can get this script in the store: Bow #9.

If you are to use that script, can you think of something you could insert in the knot? Since it will be left unmerged, that is one great way you can customize the bow. Share your idea in the comments below and i will announce the winner in the newsletter, next week. Not registered yet? Not a problem: register here.

cass-Bow9-Fall01As a sample of this, i created a bow from a simple straight ribbon. It was colorized for fall colors, which is the time of the year in the northern hemisphere.

Not only you get a bow in psd format with the knot on a separate layer, but you also get the straight ribbon so you can create a matching detail. You can attach the bow to the ribbon, in the middle (which shrinking the ribbon), to pretend the bow is part of it.
