New script – Slats

Slats script for PaintShop ProUsing slats on a photo is a unique way to showcase it, but it can be tedious to create manually. Furthermore, if you want to showcase a particular area of the photo without cutting it off, you can no longer use a ready-made template as it might not suit your specific image or size or preference.

This script will create slats but you will start by setting the "untouched" area and the slats will be added left/right or up/down that main selection. And you get more options for the creation of those slats. Finally, the script will also add a set of frames that you can keep or not, or customize with a different color, with additional effects, etc.

Get this in the store: Slats.

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you have ever used slats before (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Slat template for PaintShop ProFor a sampler, I created this template for you. It will help you showcase an element that would be off center. You can mirror it too, if your element is on the right.

You can change the color of the frame, add a bevel or other textures. You can add shadowing if needed.

For the background, you can simply use a solid color from your image or a pattern that matches. Or you can duplicate your photo and move that duplicate to the "background" layer and play with the opacity, the color, etc. for another unique display.

New tubes – Seed Beads 3

Seed Beads picture tubes for PaintShop ProSeed beads are fun elements that can be used to add some pizzazz to a project, but adding them one by one is quite tedious if you want to have a lot of them. And if you are looking for "ready-made" sprays, they might not match the color you want, the size you want or the shape you want. But using these picture tubes, you simply have to drag your cursor where you want the beads and they will just appear.

And if you want a continuous string of beads, you can also do that by using the directional version of one of those 6 colors.

Get them in the store: Seed Beads 3

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you would more likely use the random tubes or the directional ones (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Mom Mum charms in gold and silverSince it is Mother's Day (in North America) this coming Sunday, I created these two gold and silver charms for a special mother in your life. I created in two different spellings to accommodate different ways people call that special woman. The charms are about 1500 pixels, so they can be sized down as needed to fit your project.

New script – Decorated Eggs 2

Decorated eggs script for PaintShop ProWith Easter coming, you might want to create some holiday invitations or maybe you will want to embellish the photos you will take with the kids running around, looking for eggs.

Creating and decorating eggs, even digitally, can be tedious (at least it is not messy), but with this script, it will take only a few seconds. You can choose various options, whether you want monochrome eggs or rainbow colors. And with the random function integrated into the script, you will have different eggs every time.

Use solid colors or even gradients or patterns for unique results.

This is a second script to create decorated eggs and the designs are different than for the first script.

New script – Word Frame 4

Word frame script for PaintShop ProHere is another way to display some text or a date on your photo. You can create a variety of frames with a lot of options to pick from. Add any text in any font in any color, and place it on any corner.

The script will create the frame based on the size of the photo you are using or even a blank image if you prefer as the frame will be unmerged and can be used separately.

New script – Framed Mask

PaintShop Pro script to create layered framed maskI have seen various masks made from apparent chaos of random frames while allowing the display of a single photo through all those frames. I knew how to create those manually, but figured it would be simpler for PSP users to have a tool to do all the work for them.

This script will allow you to either start with a "blank" project where all the frames will cover the center area of a full-size 3600x3600 image or use an existing photo, sized and placed in a specific location of the project and have the script create the frames over that photo. The options are numerous as you can create between 1 and 36 frames to cover that area. In the end, you get a layered template with a Mask group where you can just put your photo. No measuring, no drawing.

Get this script in the store: Framed Mask

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us if you ever used or created a similar type of mask for your project (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) Layered template in .pspimage formatAs a sample, I am giving you the same template created in the preview. It has unmerged layers so you can add shadows on the frames if you want, you can merge them all before adding shadows or add them individually. You can also change the frame colors, add a bevel, or tweak them as you wish.

What will you do with that?? I hope you show off your project.

New script – Heart Candies

Heart Shaped Candies script for PaintShop ProNow, you can create as many heart-shaped candies as you want, in any color you want. And they will also have random saying on them. With additional random features integrated into the code, each candy will likely be slightly different from each other.

Choose the color (or maybe a gradient?) to match your project or your photo.

New script – Dated

Dated script for PaintShop Pro to add EXIF date to a photoSome cameras will automatically add a date on your photo and often, you might want to remove those dates to concentrate on the photo itself. However, in other situations, adding a date might be needed. If your camera took the photo while saving the EXIF information, this script will retrieve that date and add it on your photo. You get to choose whether you want the date on the left or the right of the photo and in which color.

Although adding this date to a single photo is possible and quite simple, the script can also add the date on all the photos in a particular folder. In one run!

Get it in the store: Dated

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether save the EXIF or not, with your photos (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Valentine Wooden Puzzle for PaintShop ProAs a sampler, I decided to play with a recent script, the Wooden Puzzle 2, to make you a Valentine theme puzzle. This is a .pspimage (so the file is fairly big) and each element is part of a group, so you can copy and paste it onto any other project, and since all the layers are unmerged, you can move the pieces around as you wish.

New script – Bow #14

Bow script for PaintShop ProWho can say they have too many bows and ribbons? Not a scrapbooker! This script will let you tie a straight ribbon into a multi-loop bow, attached with a centerpiece. Each piece is left unmerged so you can tweak them separately if needed.

The script will also add a default drop shadow on the loops but all the shadows will also be left on separate layers so you can tweak them, adjust them or even replace them altogether.

Get it in the store: Bow #14

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us whether you tend to use bows in your projects or not (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Ribbon bows in png formatFor a sampler, this week, I used a starting ribbon from Janet Scott at Pixel Scrapper and modified it slightly (to make it straighter) and ran the script for the basic bow. Then, playing with the Hue map to change the colors from the base ribbon, I created 3 additional versions to run the script again. That will give you those 4 bows to use.
