New script – Brick Wall 2

Although you might want a regular pattern of brickwork, sometimes, some irregularities are wanted for a different look.

This script will create a fun pattern brick wall based on any color palette you want (up to 6 colors) with uneven lengths of bricks. Each run of the script will yield a different result even with the same color palette because of the random selection of each color for each brick.

New Brushes – Flower Corners

In traditional paper scrapbooking, punches are available in a wide variety of shapes and designs, but in digital scrapbooking, those tools are inexistent. However, if you use the Eraser tool with these brush tips, it will do the same thing and you will get a great effect.

This set includes 10 different flower corner designs. If you use the Eraser tool, it will punch the designs, however, you can also use them simply as brush imprints for a totally different look.

In order to align the corner perfectly, use guides placed as 0 position horizontally and vertically.

For a sampler, I created this delicate frame. It is in black but you know how you can colorize or paint it to suit your project. If you don't know, follow the instructions in this tutorial. It illustrates the same technique as to paint wordarts which are typically black too.

New script – Book cover

Book cover script for PaintShop ProDon't you think that your photo might deserve to be on the cover of a book telling a story? That is what this script will do. It will also be a fantastic tool for designers who create quick pages or templates, to showcase one of them and show that they have more than one page in the bundle.

This script works with any scrapbook page (or quick page or template) of standard sizes of 12x12, 11x8.5, and 8.5x11.

Paper cutout in summer themeAs a free sampler, this week, I created these three fun paper cutouts for summer. Each piece is 4000 pixels long so you can use them across the whole width of your project, even at an angle.

The designs were taken from Freepik, so you can do something quite similar using the Paper Cutout script too.

New script – Triangles 2

Although it is fairly easy to create this type of patterns with triangles, it is also quite time-consuming and could require a great deal of precision too.

That is why using this script will be a fantastic time-saver (and sanity-saver too) as it will do all the calculation needed and will always perfectly align all the triangles while picking them at random.

As a sampler, I created a full-size paper with primary colors (plus green which always seem to be "missing" from the three primary colors). This paper is saved in .png format so you can add another color underneath to get very different results. You can also adjust the brightness or the saturation for another option of changing the colors.

New script – Starburst 2

Starburst pattern maker script for PaintShop Pro

Creating a starburst pattern manually is easy but time-consuming but sometimes, that is what we want: distinct rays instead of the smooth gradient.

This script will turn ANY gradient into a number of distinct rays. You choose the gradient. You choose the number of repeats. You choose the location of the focus point. And you choose how many rays you want to create. Each run will result in a full-size paper of 3600x3600 pixels which you can easily resize as needed.

New script – Zigzag Ribbon

zigzag folded ribbon script for PaintShop ProUsing a straight ribbon and turning it into a zigzag with multiple folds can be a fun way to use the same ribbon in different ways on the same layout or to create consistency between several layouts in a project.

This script will take care of all the tedious tasks of measuring, cutting, rotating and aligning all the pieces to create a continuous zigzag ribbon element.

zigzag ribbons in png formatAs a sampler, I started with a very long ribbon (5000 pixels) that I painted with a gradient. I thought it would be fun to see the gradient through the various folds. I repeated the effect with a different gradient, so you end up with two zigzag, but also the matching straight ribbons so you can use them elsewhere on your project.

New script – Little Bow

Little bows script for PaintShop ProWho can say they have too many bows in their stash? Nobody! And these tiny bows are delicate and can be incorporated into just any project, cluster, or even on a photo itself.

You can generate little bows from any ribbon, but also from any paper, which makes this script very versatile: use it to create bows to go with your next kit or to create bows for your project using a paper you just created.

Sample of little bows in png formatAs a sample, I generated a ton of little bows from papers from an old kit I had (Splashes of Sunshine from Bernadette Hunt). I liked the colors on the 4 papers. Since they were full size, I resized them to 2000x2000 to keep some of the brushes imprint visible on some of the bows. I generated many more but kept a dozen for you among those that had some interesting patterns to them.

New script – Points

Zigzag making script for PaintShop ProCreating random shapes for one's project might be easy but the randomness, sometimes, is not as random as one would want simply because we tend to do things in similar ways over and over again. That is why this script can become a time saver as it will REALLY create random shapes for zigzags on separate layers and then, you pick and choose which ones you want to use and discard the rest. Easy!

You can then use those shapes as templates, for clusters, borders, frames, masks, etc.

As a sampler, I used one of those shapes and overlayed it on a white layer. Once they were merged, I added a gaussian blur and now, that shape can be used as a mask.

New script – Layered Cake

Layered Cake script for PaintShop ProWhether you have a birthday theme or other celebration, you might want to have a unique cake to add to your graphics project. But other than the traditional birthday cake, what do you have?

This script allows you to create a unique cake, in any shape, in any color, with infinite layering combinations.

In the end, the layers can be merged or left unmerged for you to tweak your baking even more.

Rainbow Layered Cake in PNG formatI baked all day to give you this delicious multi-layered rainbow cake, complete with colorful icing.

Once I created the cake with the various layers and icing, I created one last layer of icing that I moved on the top. I added some shading and to make the icing between the layers a bit irregular, I ran the Warp Brush along the edges, which gives a more realistic look. Then, adding a small shadow gives the impression of that icing oozing out of the layers.
