The last script that was made available to you was to help you create round laser cut doilies, but what if you want them square? With a bit of coding, I am bringing this to you. It will use a similar process to create the rounded corners, but you will also have the option to modify the design for the straight edges, either by adding more cutouts or removing some. This will allow you to have some unique designs along the straight edges, if you want.
You can create simple and basic designs or make them very intricate and detailed. It is all up to you.
Grab this script in the store: Laser Cut Doilies - Square.
What color do you feel you would like to try to create those doilies? Would you prefer to stay with white, or would you try a different color? Tell me in the comments below and i'll draw a winner that will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).
Just like last week, i had fun creating those samples. I experimented with various designs and although a few didn't turn out too great, most of them were really pretty. That is why i am offering them to you.
Each one is about 2000 pixels wide, in png format.
You need to be logged in to download this sample. You can either login, or register on the top of this page.
Coffee or a light cream are versatile colours that are a bit different to white. Having a square option as well as the round is fantastic.
I love this shape. Thank you so much Cassel! Happy Thanksgiving
Gold or silver. Popular colours for any celebration, even afternoon tea. I have a selection of shapes and sizes, even large rectangle ones to place on trays.
Oh my this one just might be my favorite ever. I love doilies. A black one sticking out from behind something would look good. I would also like to try a lace texture and make it look even lacier (is that a even a word?) 🙂
oh great another doilies script, I already had lots of fun playing with the other one. Tried only white ones for the moment. Square ones is a great idea. I would try pastel colors, like cream, of light green or blue
Gold would work with all the upcoming holidays. I can see it working with autumn leaves, pumpkins, Christmas baubles and New Year festivities.
I think doilies can be any color really, though I tend to gravitate towards the neutrals. 🙂 Cream, taupe, beige. Thank you for the chance!!
White is great, but I would do some cream or beige for heritage pages, as well as any other color to match a page.
I think it would be great to do a really long rectangle too, the cut off the lace for a page border. Or you could write another script for that. LOL
That might be in the work, if people aren’t tired of doilies!
I’d like some to fit 8.5×11 pages Cass. That would be great!
I can look into something like that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I tend to prefer earthtones myself. I think these would look great in variouis shades of brown.
How about ivory? They would look nice on nearly any themed page.
Pastels are always wonderful and very versatile!
It might be nice to have an option for other colors but I really like the white. That is what I will always remember my Mother having. I can remember her starching and ironing her doilies. They weren’t just flat they had ruffles that stood up when she starched them. Beautiful!!
Thank you for the chance to win the script.
thank you… i love them. i can think of many uses for them!
