Knots are always a favorite since they are versatile, especially if you can create them from an existing ribbon that it can match.
This script will turn any straight ribbon into a simple knot.
Each layer is left on unmerged so you can adjust them if needed, or you can insert any element inside the knot.
Using a ribbon with straight edges will yield better results, but since you can tweak the layers later, you can always give it a try with an uneven ribbon.
