New script – Plush Texture

Plush Texture script for Paintshop ProPlush is often associated with soft toys from our childhood. Adding a plush texture to various shapes can convey that soft feeling to a project.

This script will turn any vector shape into a plush element with your choice of color, but you can also choose the type of plush (soft or coarse) and the length of the fibers. You can get really creative and choose a gradient or even a pattern instead of a solid color.

Plush texture elementsTo give you a little glimpse of what this script can do, I created three basic elements that you can use as is or combine them with other elements. All three elements are in png format and quite large so you can size them down as needed for your particular project.

New script – Decorated Eggs

Decorated egg scripts for Paintshop ProWith Easter coming, you might want to create some holiday invitations or maybe you will want to embellish the photos you will take with the kids running around, looking for eggs.

Creating and decorating eggs, even digitally, can be tedious (at least it is not messy), but with this script, it will take only a few seconds. You can choose various options, whether you want monochrome eggs, or rainbow colors. And with the random function integrated into the script, you will have different eggs every time.

Use solid colors or even gradients or patterns for unique results.

Decorated eggs in png formatTo help you out, I created a dozen eggs that you can use to build some clusters or to line them up at the bottom of your next frame. Using bold colors, those eggs should go well with just about any Easter or spring projects.

New script – Donut

Donut script for Paintshop ProDelicious donuts are always tempting, and if you have any baking projects or layouts, it could be fun to have some custom pastries. This is where this script comes into play. You can create a variety of donuts based on any shape you want, and customize them with various icing flavors and additional toppings.

A great script for anyone on a diet as they are guaranteed to be fat-free and zero calories!

YUMMY letters in donut textureFor a sample, I created 3 letters that can spell the word YUMMY. Each letter (Y, U, M) are made of a different flavor. They are about 2000 pixels in height so you can easily resize them to what you need.

New script – Bow #13

Bow script for Paintshop ProBows, bows, and more bows. This definitely not the first bow script, and it likely won't be the last either. Various projects seem to require a different type of bow. Sometimes you want it super simple, sometimes you want it flat, sometimes you want it loopy, and sometimes, you want it with multiple loops. This is what the newest script offers you.

Starting with a straight ribbon, the script will create a bow with 8 loops (yeah, that took a while to code!) and will even add a little brad in the center based on the colors of your starting ribbon. Keep it or replace it with something more appropriate for your project or the theme. Use this bow as is or as the base for a cluster.

Get this script in the store: Bow #13

In order to win this script, add a comment on this Facebook post telling us if you prefer simple bows with only two loops, or bows with multiple loops (remember, add a comment, not just a Like!) The winner will be announced in the newsletter, next week. Not a subscriber yet? Not a problem. You can register here and it is free (and you only get one email per week).

Sample bow in .pspimage formatFor a sample, I created a simple lace ribbon and ran it through the script. I then converted both the ribbon and the bow into a greyscale which gives you a fairly white result. Since they are monochrome, you can always colorize them to match your project, or keep it as is and just add a colored center.

The bow is in .pspimage format, with the bow and the center on separate layers. The ribbon is also included so you can use it on other projects.

New script – Custom Kit Ribbons

Custom kit ribbons script for Paintshop ProWhenever you are creating a kit or a layout, you might want to include or use some matching ribbons. Unfortunately, not all kits have them. If you are creating your own kits, then you will want to add such matching ribbons, but in the end, you tend to use the same type of ribbons, while you would prefer some variety.

You can use the Ribbon Factory script to create ribbons based on the color palette, but if you want to match some patterns used in the papers, you will need this script.

You can generate up to 50 ribbons per run, and although you pick the thickness of the ribbons and the papers to use as a base, the rest will be randomly decided by the script, so you will get a bunch of different ribbons. Keep the ones you like, discard the others.

Ribbons in png formatAs a sample, I am including 12 of the many ribbons that were generated in making the preview for the script. Using 6 papers from a kit from Janet Scott. You can find that paper kit HERE.

Each ribbon is 3600 pixels long and obviously match those papers.

New Tubes – Heart Chains

Heart Chains Picture tubes for Paintshop ProDid you get some pictures of your last Valentine Day with your valentine?

You will love to add these colored chains to your projects featuring a loved one. Each tube is directional so it will be placing individual links in the correct angle to follow the path of your cursor movement.

You can create frames, loose chains, bracelets, necklaces and more.

Heart shape frame made with Heart chainFor a sample, I created a heart shape frame using a preset shape, and ran the VectorTube script to place the little hearts all along the shape. With a little shadow added, you have a fun frame. The shadow is only added to the chain, so you can add your own shadow to the whole frame if you want.

The frame is in png format and is 2000x2000 pixels so it is large enough for most photos.

New script – Bow #12

Bow script for Paintshop ProYou can never have too many bows to embellish your projects. And since you can now create them from your own ribbons, you will have a perfectly matching element to attach to the ribbons.

Tie this bow to a flower, a string, a frame, anything. Since the script ends with unmerged layers, you can easily insert elements inside the knot.

What will you do with it?

Ribbons and bows in png formatFor a sampler, I created 3 basic ribbons with a Valentine Day theme and ran the script. So you will get 3 straight ribbons (that you can run other scripts on) and 3 matching bows.

New Tubes – Crochet Lace Edge 3

Crochet Lace edge picture tubes for Paintshop ProThe Crochet Lace edges have been so popular in the past that I am back again with another set. These are extracted photos that needed to be edited to make them really seamless.

This time, however, not only you get tubes to be placed in a straight line, but you also will have 2 individual tubes that are directional, so you can place them around a circular shape, or along a curved path.

(do you want more? Let me know and I will work on other laces!)

Crochet lace frames for freeAs a sample, I wanted to show you how the two directional lace tubes can be used to create circular elements.

I used both tubes to create a simple frame that you can combine with other elements like beads, sequins, papers, etc.

New tubes – Icicle Light Strings

Icicle Light String tubes for Paintshop ProYou might have those lights, at home, to decorate your windows or your tree, but now, you can do the same with your digital projects (and no electric cost).

These are picture tubes that you can use to "draw" the strings wherever you want, and however long you want them.

You get a total of 32 strings!

Holiday swag in PNG formatAs a sample, I create another swag for the Holidays, made exclusively of tubes from PSP or from the store. You might recognize the light strings from last year (none of the light is burnt!).

The whole decoration is about 2000 pixels wide. Why not add that to your next holiday card?

New brushes – Holiday Punches

Holiday Brushes for Paintshop ProLast week, I released some new corner punches and they were a hit! But not only that, I got some inspiration from Sue, who suggested some more punches for Christmas next year. But I didn't wait until next year! I started working on those immediately.

Not only this set includes corner punches, but also edges so that you can cut out along the edge of your paper. And even more, I included the basic shapes so you can punch anywhere else. Do you realize that you can't easily punch a snowflake in the middle of a paper if you are a traditional paper scrapper? But with these, you can punch ANYWHERE!

The whole set includes 50 different punches! You'll have enough to embellish your cards, tags and many other elements.

Holiday frame in PNG formatAs a sample, I created a fun frame for you using one of the corner brushes. Since the brush was not making an exact circle, I added some parts to make it into a real circle. Then, using the locked transparency, I painted all the elements separately. It is not hard, but a bit tedious. Then, I simply added some colored edges inside the frame. The whole frame is about 3200 pixels wide so you can size it down as needed.

You get a colored frame and the template if you want to make more with different colors.
